Gloria
The King-Beez Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A ti te falta originalidad
Oh yea yea
Talento generacional
Gloria a Dios gloria a Dios
Tamo' bien tamo' bien
To' mis pana tamo' aquí
Somos cien somos cien
De PR a RD no nos ven no nos ven
Gloria a Dios, gloria
Gloria a Dios, gloria
Gloria a Dios gloria a Dios
Tamo' bien tamo' bien
To' mis pana tamo' aquí
Somos cien somos cien
De PR a RD no nos ven no nos ven
Gloria a Dios, gloria
Gloria a Dios, gloria
Me vieron y se rieron dijeron no way uh
Ahora llaman pa favores perdón it's too late
A ti te falta originalidad oh yea yea
Talento generacional
Gloria a Dios gloria a Dios
Tamo' bien tamo' bien
To' mis pana tamo' aquí
Somos cien somos cien
De PR a RD no nos ven no nos ven
Gloria a Dios, gloria
Gloria a Dios, gloria
Gloria a Dios gloria a Dios
Tamo' bien tamo' bien
To' mis pana tamo' aquí
Somos cien somos cien
De PR a RD no nos ven no nos ven

Gloria a Dios, gloria
Gloria a Dios, gloria, ey!

Overall Meaning

The King-Beez's song "Gloria" is a celebration of God's blessings and an expression of the artist's confidence and uniqueness. The song begins with a declaration that someone had decided that tomorrow would be the artist's last day, but God intervened and changed their life. The artist reflects on their childhood, sharing that they never trusted anyone because they felt that their only family was themselves and God. The artist brushes off negative comments and criticism they receive daily, even referencing the harsh online critics as "sicario," and instead focuses on praying for their enemies and celebrating their anniversary with their partner.

The artist exudes confidence in their style and talent, claiming that their style is unique, and that their fans demand more of it. They also claim that their talent is from above, and as such, they speak and act as royalty would, with a billion plays to their name. The artist is grateful for their team and how they work to make things right, and they praise God for getting them out of the desert. The song ends with the repetition of the title, "Gloria a Dios," meaning "Glory to God," and the reassurance that they are doing well, even if others do not see them.

@AdrianBellVoiceovers

My good friend and mentor, Chuck Camroux, was their personal manager circa 1965.

Chuck was a DJ in Edmonton, did some TV presenting, and was a very bright entrepreneur.

I met Chuck Camroux in the early 2000s, and became his Program Director at Toronto’s JAZZ FM91. We became great friends. Sadly Chuck passed away in May 2022. 😢

This is the first time I’m hearing this song.
Thx for posting it!

Really unpolished but interesting. Shadows of Knight will always have the essential version.
