With a more stable lineup, the band released The Albemarle Sound in 1999, as well as added violinist Julia Rydholm, also of The Essex Green, to the lineup. In 2001, Argyle Heir was released, and the band released a self-titled album in 2003, which was recorded in their own Marlborough Farms studio.
In April 2006, Fadyl began fighting serious asthma attacks. On the 26th of April 2007, he passed away due to one such attack.
The band released their sixth album, Can't Wait Another Day, on June 5, 2007.
Catherine Elizabeth
The Ladybug Transistor Lyrics

Come Elizabeth, show them your face
'Til the dawn your likeness remains
Come Elizabeth, tell them your name
And opened wide
Held you inside before
All the pages
All the angels know of our life
Come Elizabeth, no time to hide
In my arms you'll rest till the end
Come Elizabeth, come live again
The Ladybug Transistor's song Catherine Elizabeth appears to be about the longing for a former love, who may have passed away. The lyrics suggest that the singer is haunted by memories of a woman named Elizabeth and is urging her to reveal herself, even if in spirit form. The line "come Elizabeth, show them your face" implies that the singer is not the only one who is looking for her, perhaps her family or loved ones are also desperate for closure. The repeated call for her to "tell them your name" creates a sense of urgency and mystery surrounding Elizabeth.
As the song progresses, it becomes clear that the singer was intimately involved with Elizabeth, holding her "inside before all the pages." This imagery suggests that they shared a deep emotional connection, perhaps even a sexual one. The line "all the angels know of our life" implies that their relationship was blessed by a higher power, but the constant repetition of the name Elizabeth suggests that it ended too soon.
The final lines of the song are the most poignant, as the singer promises to hold Elizabeth in their arms until the end, urging her to "come live again." The use of the present tense here is interesting, as it suggests that the singer believes Elizabeth's spirit is still present and that they are willing to wait for her to return to life.
