1) THE LIZARDS dispense a classic form of bluesy rock in the tradition of Zeppelin, Rainbow, and Purple, and do so quite convincingly, creating a collection of classic songs that can be played over and over again, each time picking up something new one hasn't heard the previous time before.
THE LIZARDS aren't the kind of old-man retro band, which bores the shit out of you. Not that kind, that have missed thirty years of Rock history. It's obvious to hear, that these musicians have transported the vibe into the current century. And it's not only Hard Rock to the max, call it Southern Funk Metal Blues ...
Originally lined-up with singer John Garner, from the legendary Sir Lord Baltimore, it's now Mike DiMeo on the vocals.
Besides Mike DiMeo, the band also features drummer Bobby Rondinelli (B.O.C., Black Sabbath, Rainbow), five-string bassist Randy Pratt and guitar hero in the making Patrick Klein, whose guitar work recalls the best of Page, Blackmore and Cream era Clapton, which is to say this is quite majestic in nature.
2) The Lizards are a New Wave band from Schinveld, The Netherlands. They recorded
their first and only album on 29th & 30th of July 1978. The Album was recorded
at the Marlstone Sudios at Borgharen, The Netherlands, and issued on Blackmail
Records. The Lizards were one of the first Dutch New Wave bands. Their sound was
heavily influenced by especially The Doors.
Members on the album were:
Maurice Van Nuys - vocals, organ
Harm 'Rocker'Renneberg - guitar
Jan Geraets - guitar
Wiel Quaatvlieg - bas
Jos Pepijn Joosten - drums
This was and still is a vinyl release only.

Bottle of absinthe had us feeling right
Popping gummies like they're tic-tacs
Door dash some taco bell let me eat that
Passed out around 10 pm
Went too hard now we sleeping in but uh oh
Phones buzzing over and over again
Get outta bed come out instead
We gonna have a good time
Meet with some girls come for a whirl
Out to club well alright
Next thing i know cars on the road
Strippers and hoes in our sights
And a hundred dollar bill all we need for the night
SIKE cover charge is 50
Wait 60 how much money did they take from me?
Finally walking in looking for a comfy seat and
Big booties in my face within a couple minutes
Wanna dance? take my hand man she wasn't budging
Not gonna lie she couldn't even get me chubbing
But i was patient suddenly all i could see
Is a colombiana pulling me to V-I-P
All i want is you
You you you
All i want is you you you you you
All i want is you you you baby baby baby
All i want is you you you you you
Got a wristband ready to dance
That's what i thought at the time
How did i get to this ATM
Putting my card in the slot
Bout to hit the button
Then the stripper hit 200
I said damn
She said stay calm that ain't nothin
So they walk me thru the curtain
And i'm feeling uncertain
What kind of club is this
My wallet already hurting
Well I'll tell ya
Those girls they really earned it
Pulled my peen out
Man i wasn't even nervous
Felt like a hulu movie with a happy ending
Same thing dashaun asked 24 women
Only thing i asked for is a clean towel
They said nah baby go home and take a shower
In The Lizards' song "All I Want," the lyrics express a person's desire for wealth and financial stability over love and free things in life. The artist emphasizes that while love may be thrilling, it won't pay the bills; only money can do that. Throughout the song, the artist repeats the phrase, "That's what I want," which highlights their unrelenting pursuit of wealth.
The lyrics also touch on the inequity of wealth and acknowledge that money doesn't always guarantee happiness. The line, "Money don't get everything it's true, what it don't get, I can't use," suggests that while money can solve financial problems, it cannot buy happiness, love or emotional fulfillment. However, the artist is still adamant about their desire for money despite its limitations.
In summary, "All I Want" is a reflection of the consumerist culture in which money has become a symbol of status, success, and freedom. The song expresses a strong desire for financial stability, while acknowledging the limitations of wealth and the value of love and free things in life.

I think the reason I love this version is due to how simple and low budget it all sounds while still remaining upbeat. It’s almost like the band wants money so badly that they didn’t even bother buying instruments to play. The singer even mentioned in an interview that she doesn’t sing the lyrics, she just says them because singing takes more effort.
Dwight st. john
in the interview she ALSO mentions they just decided to "be a rock star band" and from the background it looks liek she's today well read and in maybe an academic background?? it's hilarious the band member saw THROUGH the bull shit of being a music "star" and what a crap shoot is was. They made their hit and went on with their lives!!!

@A P The Many Saints of Newark is a Sopranos story with the main character being Dickie Moltisanti. The movie had little to do with Tony. The Sopranos theme was used at the end. This was one of many good songs in the film.
