Firstly, Im so incredibly proud of you. Youve gone through so much and i can only imagine how happy your younger self would be to be here and doing what you love
I had a similar experience as a kid with youtube, i started with minecraft channels then challenge video, vlogs, i was obsessed. I knew every creator and you know i went to any in person events that came to Australia.
Ive had mental health issues my whole life but as a teenager, i didnt know how to cope.
I wont trauma dump but in high school I some how KNEW I wouldnt live past 18. i knew i would do something before then, i didnt exactly know when or where but i knew it would happen.
The one thing thats been there for me, gave me a personality, taught me how to act because as an undiagnosed autistic kid, i had no idea how to interact with others. I made my first and best friends through our love of youtube, it was something i could connect to people with, kept me company when i dropped out of school, gave me a reason to do something every day.
Im now 22, my partner of 4 years and I watch Youtube daily, your videos are the first we put on the tv in the morning to watch with breakfast. Im not always doing well but your videos always make me happy.
Thank you for everything Jake, all your videos and never stop and doing what makes you happy

Jake, we are SO proud of you. I’m currently trying to get a diagnosis for whatever is causing my lower abdomen to feel like someone is knitting my body into horrible fucked up sweaters, and your videos help lift my spirits. The ER doctors didn’t believe me, they told me they didn’t know what I wanted them to do for me… this reminded me to keep pushing for an answer.

If no one has brought up nerve pain, I want to mention it. I didn't find a diagnosis for years before I found out I have Anterior Cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome. I wish you all the best getting a diagnosis. Hang in there!

The intro seriously got to me because that was and is my life except I have never filmed myself verbalizing all of that like you did. It reminded me that what I and other disabled/chronically ill people may go through becomes so mundane and normal but really, we are all fighting tough battles and have to endure so much. We’re brave and extremely strong. I’m SO grateful that you share these things with us.
