1- The Lovers are a French electronica/ Neo Burlesque band based in Sheffield, England, consisting of real-life lovers Fred de Fred and Marion Benoist. Their music is usually upbeat, satirising French stereotypes, with special fondness for songs about food and sex.
The couple started working on music after a chance meeting with Jarvis Cocker, who wrote them the songs 'La Degustation', 'Fred de Fred' and 'Basque Country'. These songs feature on their self-titled debut album, "The Lovers", which was co-produced by Dean Honer and Parrot of All Seeing I, Kevin Bacon and Jon Quarmby (Finley Quaye, Pretenders etc...), Leigh Devlin and Robin Downe.
The Lovers have been at the forefront of the 'Neo Burlesque'/'Gypsy Madness' mouvement, often playing with 'Lost Vagueness'.
They have collaborated in the past with Richard Hawley, Kings Have Long Arms frontman Adrian Flanagan, Afterflife, Budnubac, they also formed part of I Monster's live show.
In previous work, Fred worked for Sheffield studio FON.
Marion is a former bunny girl, who has worked with producers such as Nellee Hooper, and wrote the song 'Wonderland', which took Moloko's Róisín Murphy to number two in the dance charts.
Their music has attracted a rapidly growing audience, reaching from the duo’s adopted home of Sheffield to all over the UK, The Netherlands, Germany and Singapore.Their recordings have graced TV adverts ('La Le', used on TV advert for McDonalds; 'Crik Crak', on a number of others (Robinsons Fruit Juice etc...); 'French Kiss', on the soundtrack of BBC TV series 'Sugar Rush' ) and are even being used as a grammatical teaching tool by Linguascope and the French Board of Education.

3 - The Lovers (DE)
Formed in Winter 2007 and playing together since April 2008.
Toby and Flori started the band cause theres no exciting band in berlin(except for the fuzztones maybe)....
They found their guitar player johnny while he was hangin around and asking people for beer money...
Flori met their organ player Ari while they were both ditching school...and their drummer is an old friend of them.
The Lovers members come from a quite diverse musical background (punk, garage, 60s, surf, electro) but their main influence is good old 60s garage sound.....

In The Morning
The Lovers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Going nowhere fast
I've got bigger plans
Thirteen hundred years
Rolling up my sleeves
Oh, how I miss the leaves
I feel fine today
Wish the lights would stay green
Christmas comes and crumbs fill up your bed
Put your tapes in the VCR
Helps those days feel not so far behind you
Broke the looking glass
Didn't grow up too fast
Wish it all could last
What if you found your voice?
What if you had a choice?
Would you tell me off?
Bet you would you run away
Bet you know what you would say
And what it takes to
Ah
Ah
And I'll find
I'll find time
The lyrics to "In the Morning" by The Lovers depict a sense of frustration and longing for a different, perhaps more fulfilling life. The opening lines, "Morning in the Aves, going nowhere fast, I've got bigger plans," suggest a feeling of being stuck in a mundane routine with an underlying desire for something more meaningful. The reference to "Thirteen hundred years" symbolizes a long passage of time and emphasizes the feeling of being trapped in a monotonous existence.
As the song progresses, the lyrics convey a sense of nostalgia and yearning for the past. The lines, "Oh, how I miss the leaves, I feel fine today, wish the lights would stay green, wish the drivers weren't so mean," express a longing for simpler times and a wish for a more pleasant and peaceful present. The mention of Christmas and the crumbs filling up the bed evoke a sense of nostalgia for childhood and the comforts of home.
The lyrics also touch upon the theme of self-discovery and the desire to assert oneself. The lines, "What if you found your voice? What if you had a choice? Would you tell me off? Bet you would you run away, bet you know what you would say and what it takes to," illustrate a yearning for personal empowerment and the introspection that comes with it. The song hints at the possibility of breaking free from the shackles of conformity and embracing one's true desires and passions.
Overall, "In the Morning" by The Lovers explores themes of dissatisfaction, nostalgia, and the desire for personal growth and self-expression.

Remember to focus on yourself. Don't let your mind stray off into thinking of her and what she is doing. What good will that do? Don't think about things you can't control. You pick and choose what harms you, so choose not to be harmed by your ex.
Let your mind go off into meaningful things that you can control, things in the present. Such as working on a new hobby, going out, cleaning, working out, and other meaningful activities.

@Outlander8696 they will probably end up on tinder at age 32 and realise no one want them.

Yep, that's exactly where I'm at right now. But I'm learnin to deal with it. I still see her in a lot of the things i do, in a lot of places I go, an the music we liked now carries an oh so bittersweet sound. But shes gone now an she slowly fades from my mind an heart with each passin day. But I think I'll be ok, jus gotta see where the road takes me.
