Main Title
The MGM Orchestra Lyrics

And the gods beheld that the thunder warriors fought hard and brave in the
"battle of metal". However, they wanted to challenge them once again. This test
Was called the "battle of steel". In order to aid them in their holy quest it
Was decided to bestow unto them four magic utensils.

So the gods called upon the old dwarf and the mighty wizard and told them what
They sought. The dwarf took the sword Nothung, once belonging to "Siegfried
The dragon-slayer", fused and smithed from it's steel four shakels of metal.
The wizard created the same number of amulets from the skin of a black demon.
He then took the silver shaded blood of a dead unicorn from which he drew four
Magic runes, each drenched with natural power.

The power and strength of a bear would be given to the bearer of the hammer
"giants death", the speed of a hunting hawk to the bearer of the bow "heart
Hunter", the brutality of a lone wolf to the bearer of the axe skullcrusher,
And the deafening roar of a black lion to the bearer of the sword souleater.
Then the dwarf mounted the shakels of metal on the amulets whilst reciting
Ancient words of magic power. Thereafter the amulets were presented to the
Dragon lords, who brought them to midgard, home of the thunder warriors. They
Received this gift and a mighty power flushed through their veins. It was the
Power of magic-the magic of steel.

Suddenly thunder rocked the silence, lightning crushed the roof of the hall,
And the two mightiest gods of Valhalla -Thor and Odin- stood on the stage. The
God of thunder held his hammer on high. Odin wailed his spear into the
Audience. Any wimp present knew now that death was imminent. They disappeared
As quickly as they came.

In the blink of an eye the thunder warriors conquered the stage: Once again they
Would ride side by side with their legion of doom, under the sign of the
Wizard, to their next test- the "battle of steel"... So they fought with the
Power of metal and again were victorious. They devoured the hearts and spilled
The blood of their enemies. Their weapons found the hearts of all decievers and
Liers, crushing their bodies to the ground. After the "battle of steel" was

Over the ground was covered by a sea of blood. From that day on the four
Thunder warriors knew that they were forever bound by metal.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of The MGM Orchestra's song "Main Title" describe a mythical tale of gods, warriors, and the power of steel. The song begins by depicting a "battle of metal" in which the thunder warriors fought bravely. However, the gods still wanted to test them further, so they bestowed four magic utensils upon them for their holy quest.

To aid the thunder warriors, the gods called upon an old dwarf and a mighty wizard. The dwarf crafted four shackles of metal from the sword Nothung, which once belonged to Siegfried, the dragon-slayer. The wizard, on the other hand, created four amulets from the skin of a black demon. To add more power to these amulets, he drew four magic runes with the silver-shaded blood of a dead unicorn, infusing them with natural power.

Each of the four amulets possessed a specific attribute. The bearer of the hammer "giants death" would gain the power and strength of a bear, while the bearer of the bow "heart hunter" would possess the speed of a hunting hawk. The bearer of the axe "skullcrusher" would embody the brutality of a lone wolf, and the bearer of the sword "souleater" would possess the deafening roar of a black lion. The dwarf then mounted the shackles of metal onto the amulets, reciting ancient words of magic power.

The amulets were then presented to the dragon lords, who brought them to the thunder warriors in Midgard, their home. Upon receiving the amulets, the thunder warriors felt a surge of power flowing through their veins. It was the power of magic - the magic of steel. The thunder warriors were now ready to face their next challenge, the "battle of steel."

As the thunder warriors prepared for their next battle, the atmosphere suddenly became chaotic. Thunder rocked the silence, and lightning struck the hall. Two mighty gods, Thor and Odin of Valhalla, appeared on the stage. Thor held his hammer high while Odin brandished his spear towards the audience. The presence of these gods made it clear that death was imminent for anyone present. However, they disappeared as quickly as they came.

In the blink of an eye, the thunder warriors conquered the stage. They rode side by side with their legions of doom, under the guidance of the wizard, to face the "battle of steel." Once again, they fought with the power of metal and emerged victorious. They annihilated their enemies, devouring their hearts and spilling their blood. Their weapons struck down the deceitful and the liars, crushing their bodies. After the battle, the ground was left covered in a sea of blood.

From that day on, the four thunder warriors knew that they were forever bound by metal. They had embraced the power and responsibility that came with their weapons and amulets. The song portrays their journey as a testament to the strength and transcendence found in the realm of steel and magic.
