(… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least three groups that call themselves The machines:
(1) A Russian Electronic group created by Anton Neumark, on the ataraxy records label.
(2) A Belgian melodic pop-group around Paul Despieghelaere from the beginning of the 1980's.
Late in the seventies, the Gent-based Nestormartin renames itself to The Machines and wins the second edition of HUMO's Rock-Rally in 1980. They write music in the best tradition of the Beatles and Talking Heads.
They record the singles "Money in my wallet" and "Frozen Faces", for which they are signed to Parlophone, but it's only after the third single "Don't be cruel" they really hit the jackpot. They get to record their first album in the legendary Abbey Road studios of the Beatles.
Together with "A different smell from the same perfume" by Luna Twist, "Promises" by Allez Allez, "l'Apache" by TC Matic and "Er sterft een beer in de Taiga" by De Kreuners, these are the albums which make up the best year in music Belgium has ever had.
(3) The Machines was a nickname used by Nino Nardini and Roger Roger for two Chappell Recorded Music records.
4) English Punk band circa 1977 from Southend-on-Sea. Packed it in 1978, reformed 2006. The 'True Life' EP their most well known/lauded release - got a spin on the Peel show at one point.
Day After Day
The MacHines Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Spent the first day
of the weekend with you
You were lying close to me
Sunday
How your warmth and passion
lingered with me
Somehow we are meant to be
I was thinking every
second of you
Tried to ring you
then I stopped
Tuesday
Never thought about you
for a moment
Had a party with my friends
My life is based on reason
there is no doubt
Though love holds many dangers
My secret's out
Wednesday
I just let the whole world
pass on by me
Took it easy had a nap
Thursday
Came and left me
feeling so unhappy
And my heart's about to snap
My life is based on reason
there is no doubt
Though love holds many dangers
my secret's out
My emotions and my theories
My desires my convictions
Friday
I just couldn't bear
the days without you
Called you up and made a date
Saturday
Spent the first day
of the weekend with you
We stayed uop and
talked 'til late
<>
My emotions and my theories
My desires my convictions
Sunday
Found you lying there
in bed beside me
Joy is turning into fear
Monday
Didn't even want
to lift a finger
You were just a fantasy
My life is based on reason
there is no doubt
Though love holds many dangers
My secret's out
All at once it all became
so obvious to me
That my love's too strong
And I had to set you free
You're choking
Someday
I cannot believe
that you are not here
I am living in a haze
Someday
Will I ever be the same
without you
I don't know what day it is

The lyrics to The MacHines's song "Day After Day" tell a story of a romantic relationship and the emotions and experiences that the singer goes through over the course of different days of the week. The song begins with the excitement and intimacy of spending the weekend with someone special on Saturday and Sunday. The warmth and passion of that time linger with the singer into Monday, when they find themselves constantly thinking about their loved one. However, things take a turn on Tuesday, as the singer gets caught up in their own life and has a party with friends, momentarily forgetting about their love.
The following verses show the singer's struggle between reason and love. They acknowledge that their life is based on reason and logic, but also recognize that love comes with its own set of dangers. Despite this internal conflict, the singer decides to let go and enjoy a carefree day on Wednesday. However, Thursday brings unhappiness and the singer's heart is on the verge of breaking. Friday arrives and the singer can no longer bear to be without their love, leading them to make a desperate phone call and set up a date.
The song then cycles through the emotions and theories, desires and convictions of the singer, as they find joy turning into fear on Sunday. Monday reveals that their love was only a fantasy and they didn't even want to exert any effort in the relationship. The lyrics emphasize that the singer's life is built on reason and logic, but love has exposed their secret vulnerability. Eventually, it becomes clear to the singer that their love for this person is too strong and they need to set them free. The song ends with a sense of confusion and loss, not knowing what day it is anymore and living in a haze without their love.

1:28 Security Guard #1: Did you hear that? Sounds like an explosion.
Security Guard #2: reading a magazine I didn't hear anything. You must have imagine something. That's what you get from drinking 6 pints of beer this week.
Security Guard #1: Eh, I guess you're right.
1:45 Security Guard #3: Damn it, I told the boys back in HQ to turn down the volume! I'm gonna have a talk with them. Again!
On another note, it seems "subtle" is not in the Decepticons' dictionary when they are going for stealth.

My all-time favorite intro. The dark, sinister theme, the clever art of deception used to sneak past the security measures. Thanks for the childhood memories and the upload, Hasbro! This is what taught me English. Megatron's eloquent speech, Optimus' equally brilliant insults and comebacks.

Nice to see the Dinobots and Skyfire in the same episode.

@Adhitya Junian Dasuki originally he was divebomb but a decepticon beat the grease outta him in a humiliating fashion and took his name.

Isn't this the last episode that features Skyfire before he got regulated to background camoes and replaced by Powerglide and later The Arielbots?

@Adhitya Junian Dasuki Swoop.

Yeah but where was the bird one of the Dinobots? (Forgot his name)
Jubei Yagami
@Permagamer Og if they had done that in the G1 series, they wouldnt be called Dinobots or DynoBots. They would have been the Lightning Strike Coalition Team. Those guys make the Wreckers look like foot soldiers.
