April In Paris
The Melachrino Strings and Orchestra Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I never knew the charm of spring
I never met it face to face
I never knew my heart could sing
I never missed a warm embrace

Till April in Paris, chestnuts in blossom
Holiday tables under the trees
April in Paris, this is a feeling
That no one can ever reprise

I never knew the charm of spring
I never met it face to face
I never knew my heart could sing
I never missed a warm embrace
Till April in Paris

Whom can I run to
What have you done to my heart

I've always loved this album. I bought it back in the 1960's. The "trio musette de Paris" adds to the beauty of the album. George Melachrino never recorded a bad album. You'll never again hear music as beautiful as this. French music is so beautiful. This is the music of true love and romance. Music that makes you remember the good times. Music to reminisce by. It's late at night right now and my wife and I are really enjoying this album. Thanks again, Gustavo, for bringing back so many pleasant memories through the posting of music like this. God bless you, my friend.
