The Mighty Reapers were formed by Robert Susz in 1988 after the split of the Dynamic Hepnotics, one of the most successful soul/blues/funk bands in Australia. Consisting of seasoned performers, the Reapers quickly earned a reputation as a fine live act.
Since then, the Reapers have been in demand both for their own shows, and as a support band for touring international artists. Amongst the many acts that they have supported are names such as Steve Ray Vaughan, Margie Evans, Gatemouth Brown, B. B. King, Lonnie Mack, Buddy Guy, Albert King, and Joe Louis Walker. The Reapers have also recorded albums with Margie Evans and Big Jay McNealy.
The Reapers remain a popular band across Australia, and have played at most blues festivals, including the East Coast Blues Festival, the Byron Bay Blues Festival, the Sydney International Jazz and Blues Festival, and the Manly Jazz and Blues Festival.
