Just to be with you
There is nothing I wouldn`t do
Just to be with you.
I`d climb a mountain or sail the seas
I`d go a thousand miles upon my knees
I`d find a rainbow and take it from the sky
Chorus:
I`ll build a castle,like those of old,
And I would fill it with wealth untold,
I`d find the lion,compose a symphony,
I`ll count the stars in the galaxy.
The Passions' song "Just to Be with You" is a love song that expresses the singer's undying love for their significant other. The chorus of the song emphasizes the lengths the singer is willing to go to be with their love, from climbing mountains and sailing seas to being a slave. The bold declarations in the chorus communicate that no obstacle is too great for the singer to overcome, as long as it means being near their loved one.
The verses of the song build upon the sentiment of the chorus, with lines like "I'd find a rainbow and take it from the sky" conveying the idea that the singer is willing to do the impossible just to be with their love. The image of building a castle and filling it with wealth untold suggests the singer's desire to create a grand, picturesque world for their love. The desire to find a lion and compose a symphony shows the extent to which the singer is willing to exercise their creativity and talent, all in honor of the person they love.
Overall, the song is a sweeping, passionate ode to love and the lengths one is willing to go to be with their beloved. The singer is willing to put everything on the line, even going so far as to devote themselves entirely to their love, with lines like "I'd be a slave till the day I die". The song shows that love can bring out a sense of determination and creativity that might otherwise be lacking. Ultimately, the song is a testament to the power of love to drive us to do extraordinary things.

1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963. The music of The Silent Generation. We were the ones who gave birth to Rock & Roll and Doo-Wop. The greatest music of the last 200 years. The Baby Boomers missed out on the creation of America's heart and soul.
