Abandoned and destroyed
And I'm lost around you but
It always finds me in the darkest of my Dreams
I'm standing away
And I'm breaking out
And I'm falling down
Break me out
Break
And I was lost with no direction and I was Brought down to my knees
And every waking moment my live turns to grey
But I know you're out there
Please set me free
And I'm breaking out but no one hears me
And I'm breaking out
oh
And I'm falling down
Break me out
Save me now
It's now or never
And I'm breaking out
oh
And in falling down
Break me out
Save me now
Break
The Persuaded's song Break tells the story of someone who is broken and lost, abandoned and destroyed, and desperately seeks to escape from their current situation. The opening lines paint a picture of someone who is completely defeated and helpless. However, the song then shifts to reveal that the singer has found hope through another person, who he/she desperately turns to for salvation. Even though the singer is lost and struggling, they still hold onto the hope that they will be found and rescued by someone. The lyrics "And I'm lost around you but it always finds me in the darkest of my dreams" speak to the idea that even when we feel lost, we can find hope in the people who surround us.
The second verse of the song continues the story of a person who has been brought to their knees and is struggling with depression and anxiety. Every waking moment feels like an endless cycle of gray, a world devoid of color and hope. The singer, once again turns to the person they believe can save them, pleading for them to set them free. This part of the song is especially powerful as it speaks to the overwhelming sense of powerlessness that many individuals may feel as they struggle with mental health issues.
Overall, the song Break is about feeling lost and hopeless, but holding on to the hope that we can find salvation through something or someone else. It is a powerful testament to the human spirit and the power of friendship and love in times of struggle.
