3. The Postmen are a 4 piece acoustic/folk band from Switzerland founded in 2009.
1. Postmen was a Dutch Hiphop/Reggae band which had major success in The Netherlands with their award winning debut album Documents (1998). The album was voted one of the 10 best albums ever to come out of the country. They had 2 Top 40 hits with the tracks 'Cocktail' and 'U Wait'. They released a second album 'Revival' in 2001 which also did well however did not reach the heights of their debut album.
Their 3rd studio album 'Era' (2003) was very experimental and did not do so well commercially. This lead to problems within the band and eventually they separated shortly after.
Lead singer Remon Stotijn a.k.a The Anonymous Mis, husband of dutch singer Anouk, continued to work on a 4th album alone no under the name Postman. The album 'Green' was released in late 2006.
3. The beginnings of the group are located at the end of 2008 when Laurent Zito (vocals, guitar and harmonica) and Julien Henchoz (vocals, guitar, bass, and percussion), doing the same computer training, discovered a shared passion for music (particularly that of the 60s and 70s). They decided to form a duo, before being joined a few weeks later by Louise Meynard (cello and vocals). They were later joined in April 2010 by Julien Dinkel (drums, piano, and vocals) to inject more energy into their music.
After some months of work, several original songs were written and instrumentation has expanded to include further instruments, including bass and piano. The influences of such artists as The Beatles, Crosby Stills & Nash, Bob Dylan and Leon Russell are still being felt, particularly through the research of vocal harmonies that has become one of the main aspects of the group. Currently, the Postmen concentrate on their compositions and regularly attend concerts in Geneva and its environs. In July 2010, a demo CD of the band's work was created, available at concerts.

Men it's a fever
Let love abide and joy will rise (2x)
The only thing next to meet is the grim reaper
While your life is terrorized by the late fever
They paralyze ya by legalizing the reefer
I know 'cause my nose got the sense of a golden retriever
The highest bidder
We got the cure blowing out ya transmitter
Politics, music it `s all the same but the
Post not to blame for all sorrow and pain
Campaign, 'cause we reign let`s get the
The kabinet changed
Keep ya to ear
To it music and we do it again
Don't let a fever ruin your plan.
The future is at hand
Don't feel accused, but you been used in many attempts
[Chorus]
Everybody likes more freedom and more welfare
More shares of the pot that feeds'em
We talk sense if it ain't teaching
We got demands from a nation that´s starving and dying to get a chance
Where's you heart at take part of a dream starting
Increased violence in the luxury life supported
Already thought it would lead the way the finger points to
'cause they're the ones that really you.
Men the air you breath only temporary
No money can?t compete
Against the value of life we all know we need
Squeeze the fever out of breathers to lust for greed
Life's a breeze can't seem to live comfortably
Global politickin judging us scarfully
Plus the streets never really took care of we
Packin heat as means to live carefully
Reality fever
[Chorus]
Young life insecure not sure about wrong or right
What is it that makes you fight
And why live it we know it ain't not permitted
But it does in the streets
Where there's rules and they not to keep
Opposite things a state of mind poverty brings.
We tell you about jobs and the value of market it in
Put a target on print for the bombardment
Generals marched in roll out the red carpet
There's control by the fever at the bank, it runs where the money goes
Everybody love it that's how grows
Pullin plugs on a mind that is easily bugged
They get you drugged, get you what?
[Chorus]
The Postmen's song "Fever" is about the pervasive influence of greed and corruption in society. The song starts by warning about how people will ask for your life due to a fever. The lyrics suggest that money and power are the root cause of this fever, which leads to corruption and abuse of power. The line "Let love abide and joy will rise" suggests that the antidote to this fever is love and compassion. The song discusses how the fever corrupts everything it touches, from the government, the music industry, and even people's personal lives.
The lyrics suggest that the legal system, politics, and the music industry are all complicit in the fever. They are all controlled by the highest bidder, which exacerbates the problems caused by greed. The line "Trial is on the disbeliever" is a reference to how people who speak out against the fever are often marginalized and labeled as disbelievers. The song ends with a call to action to fight against the fever, to take part in a dream of a better future and to resist the control of those who are fueled by greed.
