The Prestonwood Choir Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And all that′s in me, bless His holy name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul
And forget not all His benefits
And forget not all His benefits.
Who redeems
Who restores
Who forgives every sin
Who is raising us to new life again
Oh my soul will
Oh my soul will bless the Lord
(Sopranos and Altos)
High as the heavens are above the earth
So great His steadfast love
Toward those who fear Him
Bless the Lord
Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
(Tenors and Bass)
Far as the east is from the west
So far does he remove our trespasses from us
Bless the Lord
Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
(Oh I will bless)
(His holy name)
(For He his good)
(Bless the lord)
Bless the Lord
Who redeems
Who restores
Who renews your youth like the eagle soars
Who forgives every sin
Who is raising us to new life again
Oh my soul will
Oh my soul will bless the Lord
The Lord
Bless the Lord
The Prestonwood Choir's song, "103," is a powerful anthem of praise to God. The lyrics open with a call to "Bless the Lord, oh my soul" and to remember all of the benefits that the Lord has provided. The first verse goes on to describe God as the one who redeems, restores, and renews our youth like the eagle soars. The second verse continues by emphasizing God's forgiveness of every sin and His ability to raise us to new life again. The chorus repeats the initial call to bless the Lord, and the song ends with a final reminder of all the wonderful things that God has done for us.
The lyrics of "103" speak to the greatness of God's love and the many ways in which He blesses His people. The song emphasizes the power of forgiveness and redemption, two themes that are central to the Christian faith. The references to the eagle soaring and renewing our youth also symbolize the transformative power that comes from a life lived in faith. Overall, the song is a powerful reminder of God's goodness and a call to worship and praise Him.

Here in Midwest City, at Meadowood Baptist Church, we have had the pleasure and blessing to have learned and presented this masterpiece, of a song. It has ministered over and over, when my soul cries out to the Lord. Wow...this is so beautiful!

Agree!!! Whoever orchestrated this did a magnificent job! It’s right up there with “The Hallelujah Chorus” in my humble opinion.
