1. From 1964 until 1968 one of West Michigan's most popular rock bands was The Quests. During those years, a musically-diverse time which gave birth to the garage rock genre, they recorded several hit songs ("Shadows In The Night," "Scream Loud," "I'm Tempted," "What Can I Do") on the now cult-famous, Fenton Records label. Although unknowingly at the time, they were pioneers within this unique musical era, and they have since experienced an international fan base.
2. The Quests were EMI Singapore's top band in the 1960s, and together they recorded several hits for Rita Chao (凌雲, a.k.a. Ling Ying to her Mandarin-speaking fans) and Sakura (櫻花, a.k.a. Ying Hua) . Later on The Quests emigrated to Hong Kong,
