Lost & Found
The Queue Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

ONE TWO THREE FOUR

And not a moment too soon
I'm walkin' in your room and everything is so god damn calm and all the
And all the silence and staring has got me thinkin' that somethings wrong

But none of that matters now
Because recently I've learned how
To just get over myself
And everyone else
And everything that's going on

And when I come down with the illness
You'll know I'm faking it for sure
I don't need any of your sympathy
Because I never needed it before

And everyone is so damn ashamed
Of their past, the present and their names
The ones they've had since they were born
So they go to find themselves
Well I'm lookin' for everyone else
Finding themselves in New York

Lets go!

And when I come down with the illness
You'll know I'm faking it for sure
I don't need any of your sympathy
Because I never needed it before

The speed generation has me nervous
They're never contented to sit
Though they live in a paradise suburbia
They all claim, they're sick of that shit

Did you realize that life is what you make it?
And if you say you rather be in New York or L.A.
Well the problem might be you

Lets go!

And when I come down with the illness
You'll know I'm faking it for sure
I don't need any of your sympathy
Because I never needed it before

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to The Queue's "Lost & Found" seem to depict the feeling of being lost, searching for something or someone, and the confusion that comes with it - but at the same time, a sense of acceptance and resolution. The song starts with the singer walking into someone's room and feeling a sense of calmness and silence, which makes them think that something is wrong. However, they try to get over themselves and everything that's going on, implying that they don't want to worry about the past or future anymore but just be in the present moment.

The line "And when I come down with the illness, you'll know I'm faking it for sure" seems to convey a sense of detachment and the idea that the singer doesn't need anyone's sympathy, which is further supported by the lyrics "Because I never needed it before." It suggests that the singer is in a better place now, where they don't feel the need to seek validation or attention from others.

The theme of finding oneself is also present in the song, but with a twist - the singer is not interested in finding themselves, but everyone else. They are "finding themselves in New York," which could imply that they are searching for a sense of community or togetherness. The last lines of the song "Did you realize that life is what you make it? / And if you say you rather be in New York or L.A. / Well the problem might be you" suggest that the singer has come to an understanding that life is what you make of it, but also that the problems one faces could be caused by their own perspective.

As always, it will be annoying and pretty frustrating for sneakerheads like me that will actually want them to wear them in a rotation from time to time and not just sit on a shelf and rot to pay resell for the bots.. Gone were the times where you could find Nike sneakers with genuine heat/hype in sneaker stores (not at ridiculous prices). Paying over 500$ for some Nike.... I might just go buy high end stuff at that price honestly.

xcaluhbration

I feel you, bro.

There's a pretty good chance you'll be able to get your pair, even if you don't get it on release date at a good price. This coming recession is going to SMACK the nation hard and those resellers that think it's cold now haven't seen anything yet, so you should be able to grab a pair for a song in mid 2023.

Richard George

@xcaluhbration i don't mind not getting it on release date as i don't want to waste my time refreshing apps and websites just to get a pair and deal with bots or others (there are better things to do). I'm planning for early '23 to take them. The thing is i only buy sneakers i actually like and even though i "collect" them, i use them all in a rotation. My tops would be 250-300 (hoping not to pay 300). Also, i am not the biggest fan of J1 tho. Same story with the J1 Mochas, over 500$ for my size 8.. it's nuts; Louboutin/Off-White/McQueen (etc) money to be fair but at least i'm paying for high end at that price.

xcaluhbration

@Richard George I get exactly where you're coming from; the price of these sneakers, in my opinion, just don't match the quality of the materials very often and I would rather spend 800 dollars on a suit than on some kicks. I wear my shoes too and rotate em out just like you, I'm just not into keeping them on ice forever.
