The Rods' third album, released 1983, was entitled In the Raw. In 1984 Canedy and Bordonaro played on Jack Starr's album Out of the Darkness with Rhett Forrester of Riot and Gary Driscoll of Rainbow. Then in 1984 the Rods released their fourth studio album Let Them Eat Metal and recorded the album The Rods Live. Their album Heavier Than Thou was originally released in 1986. An album was also released the same year, entitled Hollywood under the name Canedy, Feinstein, Bordonaro & Caudle (all of the band members). Rick Caudle handled lead vocals on that album, with Feinstein only playing guitar. Following poor sales of their final two albums the group split up.
Canedy is also a producer of heavy metal bands, and his credits include Anthrax's Armed and Dangerous and Spreading the Disease, Exciter's Violence & Force, Overkill's Feel the Fire, Possessed's Beyond the Gates and Roxx Gang's Love 'Em and Leave 'Em.
In 2008 the Rods announced that they were reuniting with the line-up of Feinstein, Bordonaro and Canedy, and in August 2008 they played at the Metal Rock Fest in Lillehammer, Norway. The album Vengeance was released in 2011 to positive reviews, and The Brotherhood of Metal was released in 2019.

The Rods Lyrics

Outcast of society and I'm gone, gone, gone
People stare at me as if I'm from outer space
Thinking what a sick disgrace to the human race
Turn me on to some rock and roll all night long
I think the devil's got my soul and I'm gone, gone, gone
My teachers think that I'm a waste, they say that I'm a hood
I got bad blood, bad blood, running through my veins
Bad blood, bad blood, it's going to my brain
I got bad blood, bad blood, I need it to survive
Bad blood, bad blood, keeping me alive
I can do what I want to, one look you can tell
If you don't like it then you can go to hell
My teachers think that I'm a waste, they say that I'm a hood
Mom and dad just can't relate, they say that I'm no good
I got bad blood, bad blood, running through my veins
Bad blood, bad blood, it's going to my brain
I got bad blood, bad blood, I need it to survive
Bad blood, bad blood, keeping me alive
The Rods' song Bad Blood is an anthem for the rebellious youth who feel like societal outcasts. The opening lines of the song "Born wild, I'm running free, all night long, outcast of society and I'm gone, gone, gone" establishes the persona of the song as a wild and free spirit who does not conform to societal norms. The lyrics reveal the tension between the persona and the world around them, as the people around them stare at them as if they are from outer space and think of them as a sick disgrace to the human race.
The persona finds solace in rock and roll music, which they believe the devil has a hold on their soul. The lyrics further reveal the conflicts of the persona with authority figures, such as their teachers and parents, who consider them a waste and hood and no good. However, the persona embraces their rebellious spirit, declaring that they have bad blood running through their veins, going to their brain, and keeping them alive. They are unapologetic about who they are, declaring that they can do what they want, and if people do not like it, they can go to hell.
Overall, the song Bad Blood is a celebration of the rebellious youth who does not conform to societal expectations and finds solace in rock and roll music. The lyrics embody the tension, conflicts, and unapologetic spirit of the persona in their journey to self-discovery and self-expression.

It sounds like Krokus playing a mash-up of The Hellion/Electric Eye and Breaking the Law by Judas Priest and Death Alley Driver by Rainbow.

Shame about the plagiarism, even their song 'Hurricane' rips off Judas Priest's 'Electric Eye'. Theyre a great band in their own right with many great tunes.
