Epilogue
The TREES and THE Bees Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
See through everyone
But you don't see
What you mean to me
If you go, I will run
And if you run, I won't hide
Free your mind, you've locked inside
Now I'm alone
No thoughts to call my own
But if you stay one more day
I know, I'll have more to say
But if you go, I will run
And if you run, I won't hide
Free your mind, you've locked inside
In time you will find
In the song "Epilogue" by The TREES and THE Bees, the lyrics convey a sense of longing and unrequited love. The opening lines "I see you, see through everyone, but you don't see what you mean to me" suggest that the singer has a deep understanding of the person they are addressing, yet that person is unaware of the impact they have on the singer's life. It speaks to a one-sided affection where the singer's feelings are not reciprocated.
The song continues with a plea for this person not to leave, as the singer expresses their willingness to chase after them if they do. The line "If you go, I will run, and if you run, I won't hide" reveals the singer's determination to not let this person slip away without a fight. The repetition of the phrase "free your mind, you've locked inside" implies that the person they're addressing is holding back emotionally or mentally and encourages them to open up and embrace the connection they share.
As the song progresses, the singer admits to feeling alone and lacking personal thoughts without the presence of this person. However, the lyrics take a hopeful turn as the singer expresses that if this person stays, they will have more to say, suggesting that their love and affection will find a way to be expressed and understood.
Overall, "Epilogue" captures the emotional turmoil of unrequited love, the desire to have one's feelings acknowledged, and the hope that the connection between two individuals can deepen if given the chance.

That moment when you realize that Layton T. Montgomery was actually the hero in this movie as he warned Barry that his actions to free the bees were against nature and it turned out that he was right all along.

If, for Barry, bees must save nature, flowers and crops will be in danger because of him.

@SCOUTART this movie should have a scene where barry has given him honey as an apology

I know this movie is seen as mediocre, but I always admired this scene.
It shows how much bees and other pollinators are the biggest cogs in the ecosystem.
No bees, no pollination.
No pollination, no plants.
No plants also means no trees.
No trees... No oxygen!
And no oxygen means no life!

And that means global warming. One plant I watered every other day and few days. It looked like a plant that wouldnโt grow flowers. at one point there was no flowers on it and then I saw a bunch of them on it and I saw a bee on them a few times. It made my day

Not all plants depends on pollination, and oxygen is mainly produced by phytoplancton.
(No bees would still sucks, but not to the end-of-all-life extent hahaha)
