Oh God Alex
The The /mu/tants Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh my God what have I done?
I've let go, had some fun.
I've done things that I shouldn't have done,
My God what have I done?

This is gonna get to my head,
This is gonna be confusing.
Up against the fence my blood ran
Straight from my head to my pants.

I can't, you can't, we can't, too late,
It feels so great, so 'now', so wow!
Alright, so good, my God what have I done?

Woah, oh my God what have I done?
I've let go, had some fun.
I've done things that I shouldn't have done,
My God what have I done?

My God what have I done?
My God what have I done?

What have I done?
What have I done?

Overall Meaning

The The /mu/tants' song "Oh God Alex" seems to be about the consequences of letting go and having too much fun. The lyrics talk about doing things that shouldn't have been done and regretting the choices made. The character in the song realizes that it's too late to turn back once the damage has already been done.

The line "Up against the fence my blood ran straight from my head to my pants" seems to emphasize the physical effects of what has been done. The confusion and disorientation from the experience is also depicted through the line "This is gonna be confusing".

The repetition of the phrase "My God what have I done?" throughout the song reinforces the remorseful tone of the lyrics. The character in the song is plagued with regret and a sense of disbelief at their actions.

Overall, "Oh God Alex" is a cautionary tale about the dangers of giving into impulses and disregarding the potential consequences of one's actions.

Context for each song.

Hypno's Lullaby: In the creepypasta, Hypno is based on a pokedex stating that one time the Pokémon took a child with him. Of course, the internet made dark theories and it soon formed the famous Hypno's lullaby. As for the mod, they changed some things. In the mod, Hypno's trainer committed suicide after being bullied by kids. Hypno waited for her return but soon decided his vengeance by using their dreams to feed him and kill them. The reason he is a giant corpse is because that due to him focusing to much on his psychic power and that caused his body to fall apart.

Glitchy Red.
The red from Isotope comes from the creepypasta by the same name. In this creepypasta, a guy finds a bootleg game and plays it and as he continues, Red starts talking to them and exclaims his anger and sadness for being forgotten and soon began flooding the game with glitches. The story ends with the man having constant nightmares of Glitchy Red scratching his torso and every day he wakes up to scratch marks.

Strangled Red.
In the Dissension song is based on the Strangled Red creepypasta. This story has two versions but this mod uses the Mike and Steven route. In the story, Mike (who is red) is becoming the champion and befriends a charazard name Miki. Soon, Mike (which is Steven's brother) asks Steven if he could trade his Miki so he can complete his Pokedex. Steven agrees and the trade happens but then suddenly a glitch happened and Miki somehow disappears from existence. This greatly upsetted Steven and for the next year he would grief until he snaps and during the night kills Mike by strangling him.

DISABLED
Amusia is based of a creepypasta called DISABLED. This is where a trainer trades one Pokémon for a Wigglytuff (or something of similar name). However, the strange thing is all of its moves is disabled including sing which is why he doesn't sing during the song and so it struggles and struggles and struggles.

Pasta night
Pasta night is just a collab but I might as well point out some creepypastas.
Herobrine, MickeyMouse.avi, Red Mist Squidward, Eyeless Jack, Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, Smile Dog, Salad Fingers, Ben Drowned, Shinto, the creepy princess peach one and one other I can't make out that is behind red mist squid.

Death Toll
Death Toll is based entirely on the "Hell Bell" creepypasta. A very religious woman traded out some pokemon for a Bronzong (a silver one). The Bronzong however was called Hell Bell and all it'd stats were 666. For religious reasons, she tried to release it and try to get rid of it. However, she couldn't and would get a letter in the game stating it won't leave till she took him to Lost Tower. Eventually she does so, as the bells toll, she met a man named "Belez" and he wanted to thank her properly by asking for her real name. After typing her real name, the man would reveal that she was now his and the Hell Bell would use imprisonment...till the power went out. Ever since the narrator said she feels empty and her food tastes like Ash.

Shinto is obviously not a creepypasta but something made for the mod. She is a bootleg Hypno with Grey being the main character. Despite this, Shinto is impossible to beat and many use a hacked copy to beat him. This is a bad decision as Grey faces a monster of literal feces named "$hitno". Unfortunately he dies.

Frostbite
Frostbite is based on the "Snow on Mt. Silver". To dumb it down, it shows Silver walking in the freezing cold winter on Mt. Silver. As the narrator walks up to the area where you battle Red, they noticed that Gold's Pokémon are dying with every several steps she took and they were pale, with dark eyes and bits of their flesh off. In fact, she noticed her character and his Pokémon were white and blueish like Frostbite and her pokemon were mangled. Soon she just had a Typhlosion as they hit the summit where Red was supposed to be. But instead, a Celebi was there and casted perish song. This transported Silver into the mountain with his eye black, leg gone, and bleeding. There he sees Red and try to battle him but Red's pokemon was weak as all they cab do is struggle until death. Eventually, it was just a Pikachu with a demented grin and Red silent as ever. Pikachu then used tail spin and his Typhlosion attacks which kills them both. Then soon, it shows both Red and Silver with decaying bodies as the narrator realized that this was their hell and it ends.

Insomnia
The man your facing is Silver. This is sort of a different route in the rom hack of Lost Silver. This is where you encounter him with a sleeping, eyeless, fragaytr. If you wake him then he will attack and soon when the battle ends, Silver says "..even" then leaves. No one really knows why though.

Monochrome
This is the least surprising and most well known. Lost Silver is a story of a trainer who fell from stardom. It's a longish story but basically Silver died from a Celebi singing Perish during a fight with Red and killed them I believe.

Missing no
We already know this. MissingNo comes from the og pokemon games where if you walk along the shore you will encounter a bug of a pokemon battle.

Brimstone
This is actually not a creepypasta but a scrapped final battle in replace with another trainer. This was a decayed corpse of a man that was seemingly buried alive. The game over was of the body eating the player.

Purin
Purin is based on a image of a jigglyluff with red eyes behind a static screen. That's it.

Solar Guard

Just so you know, the candle you bought was for Purin, you were supposed to go into safety lullaby and click on the pokemon center to go into the song
Also, one of the coders finished coding the mod and released the build for that today, so it might finally be finished?

Mod Context: (some will be in reply cause youtube hates long comments)

Frostbite is based on the creepypasta Snow on Mount Silver...oh boy, this story...this was a story in a corrupted game cartridge of pokemon blue that, in the story, was created by a kid misusing a game shark (a cheating device that alters the internal data of games, popular with pokemon since it helped get legendaries and rare items) and it created this depressing story that traumatized them forever and made them mentally unstable for a time. It revolves around gold being stuck on mount silver, where it is freezing cold. His pokemon slowly die from frostbite (and I mean ACTUALLY die), the pokemon you fight are literally dying from frostbite with parts of their bodies breaking off (like the ones you see in the song), you fight Red, who appears normal at first but then is revealed that you were fighting a dead corpse that whole time (like in the song), and then Typlosion, Gold’s last pokemon and only source of heat, dies...and Gold dies shortly after...a slow inevitable death he couldn’t escape as he watched his pokemon die around him...

The Feraligatr and Kid in Insomnia is and Silver from lost silver hidden, an alternate route you can take if you decline the "TURN BACK" prompt. If you go through a certain route in a cave, you will end up at a river with an eyeless silver and a sleeping eyeless feraligatr, interacting with the feraligatr will cause it to wake up and look for what woke it, causing a fight. you can’t do anything during this fight, and after a bit it will fall asleep, and your only option is to use nightmare, which instantly kills it despite it only being meant to do 25% health. Afterwards, Silver will simply say “even...” when you talk to her and she’ll then disappear...

The corpse in Brimstone is Buried Alive, a very well known and popular unused line of code (fun fact: he was the one who was talking at the start of the v2 trailer). Before being replaced with a marowak’s ghost, Buried Alive (also known as the Buryman Script) appeared on the final story of the pokemon tower and says “You’re...here.” “I’m trapped...” “and I’m lonely...” “so very lonely...” “won’t you join me?” before a trainer battle starts, his model resembling a human corpse crawling out of the ground. His pokemon are a gengar, a muk, and 2 White Hands. If you defeated him, the game would freeze, but apparently if you lost, he was supposed to say “Finally, fresh meat!” followed by gibberish, drag the player into the ground, and then show a game over screen where you see an image of him devouring you in the background. Not only that, but it was supposed to replace the gameboy startup screen with this image while static played...rated E for everyone, right? :)

i LOVE how disabled (amusia) doesn't actually hit her notes since shes...well...disabled. such a small detail that really goes a long way in describing the lore.

lord x is also a little cheater using his left and right notes to peek at their cards lmao.

also the backstory for hypno is that his trainer and only friend was bullied into suicide by jumping off a bridge and to rub salt on the wounds the bullies just laughed as she died. this is why he specifically goes after kids.

also its kind of sad with monochromes ending, since it seems to be implying that lost silver wasn't being hostile, but rather the unknowns were toying with him all along like a puppet. especially since they literally decapitate him and his poses are similar, and his words "im dead" and "no more" seem to imply he doesn't actually want anything to do with this. it makes sense, but its still sad.

also brimstone's antagonist is called buried alive, he's basically one of the first pokemon creepypastas (that became popular)

Here is some info for every Creepypasta featured in this. If I miss anything or get something wrong, please comment and I can edit onto this. Stories will be paraphrased as much as I can, only keeping the important parts.

Format will be Name (Story origin) [Songs/Week] Description

Credit to original Creepypastas, Creepypasta Wiki and FNF Mod Wiki
---------------------------------

Hypno (Hypno's Lullaby/PokeDex) [Hypno Week, Bygone Purpose, Pasta Night]: Hypno's story in the mod was he evolved early, causing him to be small and frail, his owner, a little girl, was bullied into suicide, and Hypno waited for her to come back at the bridge she jumped at, growing bitter at the world, which is why he is how he is in the main week
Hypno is inspired by the legend of Hypno luring small children into the forest, found in a few PokeDex entries across the series, not exactly a Creepypasta, but Creepypastas have been made around it.

Hypno's body starts to slowly fall apart as he focuses everything into his psychic energy

---------------------------------

Gold/Blake (Lost Silver and Easter Egg - Snow on Mt. Silver) [Lost Silver Week]: In Lost Silver, Gold was dead for an unknown reason, so in the mod they mashed it with Snow on Mt. Silver, where a trainer named Blake dies in the snowy mountain from being unprepared.

In Lost Silver, messages were hidden in Unown in his party, which would change randomly, which is why the Unown appear in the song. Celebi also appears in Lost Silver, only knowing Perish Song, and missing half its body, which is why it sings Perish Song to lower your max HP, and is cut in half.
His Celebi is named AWAY.

In Snow on Mt. Silver, Blake ends up fighting Red before they both die.
The Typhlosion is named PLEASE
Red's Pikachu is named Freakachu, and can be seen biting itself during the song to damage Gold, as it has Pain Split.

-------------------

Silver and Feralisleep (Lost Silver Fangame) [Insomnia]: Are based on a secret encounter in the Lost Silver fangame by the original creepypasta author, where Silver is seen with no face, and cannot be spoken to.

---------------------------------

MissingNo. (PKMN Red, Blue, Yellow) [MissingNo. Week]: Most people know MissingNo, but for who don't
MissingNo. (Missing Number) is a glitch Pokemon from Red, Blue, and Yellow (Appearance is from Red and Blue). It is encountered when the game doesn't have a Pokemon associated with the ID encountered, it has the Bird type, which is the original name for Flying type. It's known for seriously bugging the game if caught.

BF catches it at the end of its song.

-------------------

Buried Alive (Drowned Sapphire) [Brimstone]: Buried Alive (Full name Buried Alive Model, also called Buryman in the code) is from a Creepypasta called Drowned Sapphire. He was supposedly the true fight uptop the Pokemon Tower, instead of the grunt pretending to be Giovanni, which people didn't think makes sense, so its assume something was rushed together to hide Buried Alive. His team consist of a Gengar, a Muk, and two White Hands (Presumed to be the White Hands mentioned by a Lavender Town NPC). If beaten in a fight, the game would freeze, but if you lost, he would say "Finally, fresh meat!" and you would be greeted with a "GAME OVER" screen, showing your trainer being eaten.

---------------------------------

DISABLED (DISABLED) [Amusia]: DISABLED is a female Wigglytuff who was received by Wireless Trade. She only knew Sing when recived, but was taught Hidden Power, Swagger, and Explosion by TM. The protag got into a fight with a Ponyta, but all her moves were Disabled, and the Ponyta was "Frozen in fear. It can no longer escape from battle." When trying to run from the fight, it would say "DISABLED wants to fight. You cannot leave the battle.". After the Ponyta finally fled, DISABLED said "I just wanted to Sing…" "Why… why… why can’t I Sing?". She then asks "Can you sing?" after selecting no, the protag got the reply "You’re lying. You... can Sing. Give me your Sing," after selecting no over and over again, she screams "SING" in a high pitch screech, making the protag drop the DS. The next morning, they traded DISABLED for a Cyndaquil.

The Cyndaquil was named "Hurry"

Fun fact: DISABLED's icons in the song aren't based on her health, rather its based on how much she has turned to look at you, she also misses all her notes, in reference to her not being able to sing.

Song name meaning: Amusia is a condition that leaves a person unable to perceive music.

---------------------------------

Out of all of them this one I recommend the most to read in its full.

Steven (Strangled Red) [Dissension]: Steven is the playable character in a (Fictional) hack called Pokemon: Strangled Red Version. The cartage of the game had the sticker ripped in such a way, it appeared as someone slashed Charizard's neck.

TLDR: Steven strangles his brother because his Charizard accidently died
It was too long to keep in the comment, check replies for full summary

Song name meaning: Dissension means a disagreement that leads to discord.

---------------------------------

Purin (Unknown Origin/Fan art) [Purin]: Purin is the Japanese name of Jigglypuff. It's based on a piece of infamous fan art which origins are unknown. The image is used alot in Pokemon Creepypastas.

---------------------------------

Beelza and Hell Bell (Hell Bell) [Death Toll]: Beelza (Also known as Old Man, and full name Beelzebub) and his Shiny Bronzong named Hell Bell are from the story of the same name.

In the story a girl was given her Brother's Pokemon Diamond game, and decides to go trading on his old save for fun. She receives a shiny Bronzong named, "Hell Bell" whos stats were all 666, with its original trainers name being "Beelze" and it was caught at Lost Tower, contained in a cherish ball.

She was creeped out by it and kept trying to trade it, only to be told the Pokemon couldn't be offered in a trade. It was holding a letter that said "Take me back," and then another "I can’t go back on my own. Take me back." "Lost Tower." After traveling on the route, with seemingly all NPCs missing, she finds a white haired old man pacing back and forth. He only said "RING THE BELL" over and over again.

After climbing the tower, a bell rings 4 times, before opening a hole, which after dropping in, had no way back out. A text box popped up saying “Oh, you’ve returned Hell Bell to me? I really appreciate it” and a Gentleman NPC walks out. She hands Hell Bell over and a touch screen popped up, with text saying “Would you mind telling me your name please so that I may thank you properly?” She started to put a D, for the Trainer's name, Dust, but it stopped her and he said “No, no, your real name please. I can’t thank you with a false name, you know.” “Your real name, please.” and after writing her name, he asked her to blow into the mic to makesure the ink wouldn't smudge, the ink turns deep red, and he replies with “Thank you, miss. You’ll be happy to know that you now belong to me.” and her currently Male Trainer sprite turned into a female that looks similar to herself. The game then said “Hell Bell used IMPRISONMENT”, and the DS battery died.

Now when she eats, it seems to become ash, water can't quench her thirst, she can't sleep, and animals act like she is a shadow of death when near.

In the mod its now a female trainer, becoming BF who is male, and at the end, BF seems to have no soul in the reflection.

---------------------------------

Glitchy Red (Glitchy Red) [Isotope]: Glitchy Red is from a Bootlegged copy of Pokemon Red. In the story the game was acting really weird, and glitchy. The player decides to try to go to the Glitch City since the game was already messed up, but then a text box popped up saying "RED: Nice try, Red". When they should had been in Glitch City, they were instead in Pallet Town, with text saying "RED: This isn't where I'm from. I've been lied to.". Red continues to talk to the player, complaining about how he has no free choice, and was replaced by Gold/Ethan in the sequels, left behind, because his game was too glitchy. After beating the game, Red's trainer ID said "GONE" and he said "Go ahead and forget me now. Goodbye." and the game reset.

Song meaning: Isotopes are two or more types of atoms that have the same atomic number and position in the periodic table, most likely to reflect how similar Red and Gold are.

---------------------------------

Shinto [Shinto and Shitno]: Shinto is from a Bootleg Pokemon game, she's an original character for the mod. According to the in-game Pokedex, you aren't supposed to be able to catch her without cheating.
The trainer of the bootleg game is named Grey, as a reference to Red.

---------------------------------

Pasta Night Cameos: MX from Mario 85', Lord X from Sonic PC Port, Smile Dog [Photo], Victim #1 from MARIO [Photo], [Can't remember the name of third photo, sorry], Jeff the Killer, Suicide Mouse, Dead Bart, Red Mist Squidward, Slenderman, Ben Drowned, Eyeless Jack, Polybius, Herobrine, Mr. Widemouth, Coronation Day Peach, Salad Fingers, and Shinto.

GB from Mario Madness, and Lost Silver Gold are in the files, and were meant to walk by, but were never added in.

Fun fact: Ben starts looking straight, but after awhile, will stare directly at the camera.

Punykirby

Steven (Strangled Red) [Dissension]: Steven is the playable character in a (Fictional) hack called Pokemon: Strangled Red Version. The cartage of the game had the sticker ripped in such a way, it appeared as someone slashed Charizard's neck.
In the game, Steven, and his Charmander named Miki, start their adventure, with his brother named Mike, the player using Miki for everything, and she evolves into Charizard. After what would normally be the end of the game, it starts back up back at their house, where Steven, not wanting to, reluctantly lets his brother Mike borrow Miki to complete his Pokedex, suddenly, mid trade, the game crashes.

The protag restarts the game, and when they continue, text says ONE YEAR LATER, and Steven is seen inside Pokemon Tower standing in front of a tombstone, and had no money, had no badges, and play time was 8,795 hours. Talking to NPCs would have them comfort Steven, but he wouldn't reply. When ever he got into a battle, it would only show Steven and the wild Pokemon, and the Pokemon would leave with text like "Left you be, ignored you, wandered off.". No matter where Steven was, Lavender Town's theme would play. Steven arrives home, Mike apologizing, but Steven just saying "I'm going to sleep.
At night, while Mike was still asleep, Steven said he was "Going to do it. IT can bring her back, IT can do anything." The player tried to leave, but Steven would randomly say "Not that way", eventually they step into the ocean, where he says "The missing one". The player, decides to surf to Cinnibar, and preform the glitch, causing the Lavender Town theme to stop, along with all noises. Steven with no input catches MissingNo. He tries to use MissingNo, Steven saying "Miki", but a textbox from Oak says "Steven, don't use it!" which he replies "In a world that cheated me, why should I play fair?"

"Steven obtained M@#$!"

Steven's name changed to S!3v3n, and between his bangs, was pure blackness, with red eyes and a white grin. He went to his house, and upstairs to his bedroom, and hunched over Mike's bed.

In the pause menu, the game wouldn't save and said "Nothing can be saved now." In the Pokemon menu, there was a single Pokemon with Zero HP, status "Dead" and its name M@#$
Selecting it caused 4 things to pop up

>STATUS "Its her…"

->SWITCH "Never"

->CLOSE "…No…"

->STRANGLE

The protag selected Strangle, showing once again Steven in front of his brothers bed, with the text "Goodbye."

The game shuts off, and when the protag opens it back up, it shows Steven and a glitched Charizard on the title, you were unable to select New game, and pressing continue simply said "… No…"
