The Tree is an alternative rock project from Hungary.
Norbert Kristóf singer-songwriter is responsible for the main musical inspiration and lyrics. He sings and plays the guitar in the band. He is accompanied by Gergő Dorozsmai (The Moog, formerly have been working with Kristóf on the project "karate dog") on drums and -at live performances - Márton Hó (Hippikiller) on bass.
Their only material is the S/T EP, made in 2008, claimed to be "an improvisation of 3 days in the studio" by Kristóf and Dorozsmai. The EP is to download for free from artists myspace.
Their sound is really close to the foggy, dreamy atmosphere of Kristóf's acoustic project though sometimes clever, tight and anthemic rock formula added.

2.)
The Tree is an experimental rock band from Chittagong, Bangladesh.
the tree initially grew its roots through Zahed, following a long break from the music scene since his time with the well acclaimed band Hemorrhage. Looking to get back in the game he started looking for musicians to create a full fledged band. He recruited one of his own students, Nirjhar, a very talented young guitarist into the fold. Having filled both the spots for guitarists, the band lacked a drummer, a bassist, and a frontman. It was only a matter of time when another very talented musician previously from the band Whiplash, by the name of Shafayat joined the project. It was the unfortunate and sad circumstances of one of our close friend and brother, Shareque, leaving for his masters in Australia that Zahed and Tanvir met. Having talked about the project, they decided to meet and jam to a few songs at Zahed's music school. With only the bassist left, Fayid was called upon to fill the spot, having known the guys for a longtime since his time with Last Child. And with that, the tree was born.

The Tree Lyrics

Echo through the valley of dreams where it will strive
So listen up, we have the right to know
Your lies, we can see right through you
The bricks in the building of society will fall
With only chaos supporting the walls
I'm not the one growing somber
I'll never follow quietly for as long as i breathe
I have the courage to speak
A shadow has settled in the sky
Rain of the finest particle
Engines, noises and machines of destruction
Building up towards a shockwave of eruptions
Eyes shut to enjoy visions of life
Gone is the future ahead
If we don't stop to think
Your life, the friction to their machinery
Is this the land of the free
One can only hope to dream
The hypocritic pacifist, where are you at
Mirrors never lie, are you not a fucking slave
(Mirrors never lie, are you not a fucking slave)
Is this your land of the free
Tyrant vs tyrant supremacy
Iron fist of greedy fear
Open up your eyes it's crystal clear
Is this your land of the free
When we're all slaves to the economy
Something that will never be
You will never ever be free
You will never ever be free
Free your self
Slaves
Get in line, we will march for control
Get in line, this future won't uphold
Slaves
The lyrics of The Slave are bold and powerful, with a clear message of rebellion against oppressive systems. The song speaks of the choir of the voiceless, rising up to echo through the valley of dreams, striving for change. The opening lines are a call to action, a demand for truth and transparency. The slaves are no longer willing to follow blindly, as the lies of the oppressive society are exposed.
The bricks in the building of society are falling, with only chaos supporting the walls. The singer is not growing somber, and with courage to speak out, they will never follow quietly as long as they breathe. A shadow has settled in the sky, with rain of the finest particles, engines, noises, and machines of destruction building up towards a shockwave of eruptions. The future is gone, and if we don't stop to think, our lives are nothing more than friction to their machinery.
The song questions whether this is truly the land of the free or a place where tyranny and greed rule supreme. The hypocritical pacifist is called out, and the mirrors never lie, revealing the reality of our enslavement. The final lines are a call to action, a rallying cry to free ourselves from the chains of oppression.
Overall, The Slave is a powerful song that challenges us to question the systems that govern us and to fight for our freedom.
