Feel this sounds
and baby put your head up
Dancing with ya
let me feel this moonlight
Move Your body
feel me baby get up
Touch ma music
do not forget my hat
Do not push push girl
Come on up in stage now
Do not stop your steps
Finds your feelings
do your steps
I\'m gonna put
my black hat up
Feel this sounds
and baby put your head up
Dancing with ya
let me feel this moonlight
Move Your body
feel me baby get up
Touch ma music
do not forget my hat
Do not push push girl
Come on up in stage now
Do not stop your steps
Finds your feelings
do your steps
I\'m gonna put
my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up

I\'m gonna put my black hat up
I\'m gonna put my black hat up

Overall Meaning

The U.S. Army Airborne's song Black Hat seems to be a party anthem with the central theme of dancing and letting loose. The singer encourages the listener to feel the music and move their body, while also reminding them not to forget about their black hat. The black hat could be a symbol of something significant or it could simply be a prop to enhance the party atmosphere. The repetition of the line "I'm gonna put my black hat up" towards the end of the song could symbolize the end of the party or a message to the listener to put aside their inhibitions and enjoy the moment.

Overall, the song seems to be an expression of the freedom and camaraderie that is often associated with the military, specifically the airborne division. The song's upbeat tempo and repetition of certain lines make it catchy and easy to dance to, which could be seen as a way to bond with fellow soldiers and relieve stress.

I went through the school at age 40 in March/April 1980. My wife was not able to come to Benning so a Black Hat asked his wife to pin my wings on. It was a real honor. I so enjoyed that school and the professionalism of the instructors. I got to serve with the 389th MI CO of the 11SFGP and made a number of operations with them. After a total of 193 jumps I made a last jump at age 71 with a Laotian General who awarded me Laotian parachute wings that I am permitted to wear on my SFA green jacket.

Airborne school of the 40s 50s 60s and 70s was tough. They would beat the shit out of us the students. Nowadays they come and tell.me how easy Airborne school is. A beret was something earned. And I took a good beating for it.
