But the fact is reality is complicated
The truth is that reality is difficult to understand

And the backroom deals that seal the fate
Secret and potentially illegal agreements that ultimately decide the outcome

Of these countries never even get debated at all
No one even talks about such things

Even when the countries at war
Even when countries are in conflict

Even when all the young men fall
Even when many young people die in the conflict

And all because the energy companies still want more
This is primarily due to the corporations' need for more profits

While the poor
The impoverished section of the population

Here in the UK can't even afford to stay warm
People in the UK struggle to pay their heating bills

While they struggle surviving
While they are barely managing to stay alive

Profits are rising
The corporations' profits are increasing

Ask yourself why we support the violence
