The Vortex on C89.5 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Kalo iri bilang jangan ngomong dibelakang
Aku yang senang senang hidupmu tak tenang
Kalo iri bilang jangan jadi pecundang
Kayak cacing kepanasan umbar aib orang

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of C89.5's song "Iris" convey a message about jealousy and its negative effects on both the person experiencing it and the person being targeted. The first two lines of the song, "Kalo iri bilang jangan ngomong dibelakang, Aku yang senang senang hidupmu tak tenang" can be translated to "If you're jealous, don't talk behind my back, I am the one who is happy and your life is restless."

These lines suggest that when someone is envious of another person's happiness or success, they often resort to gossiping or spreading rumors behind their back in an attempt to bring them down. The lyrics then continue with, "Kalo iri bilang jangan jadi pecundang, Kayak cacing kepanasan umbar aib orang," meaning "If you're jealous, don't be a loser, Like a worm exposing other people's flaws." Here, the singer warns against letting jealousy turn one into a weak, ineffective person who resorts to humiliating others by revealing their faults and mistakes.

Overall, the lyrics of "Iris" encourage listeners to rise above jealousy and avoid engaging in harmful behavior. Instead, they advocate for focusing on one's own happiness and success, without seeking to bring others down.

It's pretty good. Has some flaws though that won't work with live. For example the transposition controls if put into cc mode will cause the action to happen twice. SO hitting play hits it twice for the press and than the release. It's nice and cheap. Get the combo of all three on ebay.

I'm thinking of getting a nanoKONTROL. It seems like a good fit for Ableton Live.

Nice. And not a computer screen in sight. What's the white control box you are using?

lol.... a nanoKONTROL.... under a monitor... actually I have two screens.... You'd be surprised at how discrete and useful they are though. The small one is a touch screen with a program I wrote to control advanced sequencing functions and control effects. The big one shows nothing but ableton's clip grid for occasional reference when I do complex transitions.
