1) The Weather is a collaboration of Busdriver and Radioinactive. Writing their lyrics on broken typewriters in cubicles at a fictional corporation, Busdriver and Radioinactive come together to deliver Touch Type/Winthorp & Winthorp - the first Mush Records seven-inch offering. The release is a prelude to the full-length the duo has completed for Mush with producer, Daedelus. The tracks feature spot-on production by Paris Zax and Daddy Kev, and the twisted lyrics and machine-gun vocal stylings originated and perfected in Los Angeles.

The Weather Lyrics

Gonna take it on one day at a time
And when I'm alone in the darkness
I won't let it take me away
It's clear that yesterday's page has turned over
Therell maybe be no choice but to fight
I'll never run from the darkness
Even if it takes me away
I might never see
And I might never know
So I ain't gonna hold back no more
You say you'll never too
Always the way
So let's not ever hold back no more
Will we ever see ourselves the cards on the table
Or only ever stories ones that are told
I lay awake in the darkness
But at least there's a heart to hold
I might never see
And I might never know
So I ain't gonna hold back no more
You say you'll never too
Always the way
So let's not ever hold back no more
The Weather's song No More is a powerful message of hope and resilience. The lyrics start off by acknowledging that the future is uncertain, but the artist is ready to take it one day at a time. The line "Don't know what the future will bring but it's alright" is a reminder that despite not knowing what is ahead, things will still be okay.
The second verse further cements the idea of not running away from challenges, particularly those that arise in the form of darkness. The line "And when I'm alone in the darkness I won't let it take me away" speaks to the resilience of the artist, to not be overrun by their fears and worries.
The chorus is particularly potent, with its repeated lines urging both the artist and the listener to embrace life and throw caution to the wind. "I might never see and I might never know so I ain't gonna hold back no more. You say you'll never too always the way so let's not ever hold back no more." These lines speak to the idea of living life to the fullest and not regretting any missed opportunities in the future.
Overall, The Weather's No More is a song of hope, reminding us that we can overcome our fears and embrace the unknown, one step at a time.
