Please come Paul
The Williams Lyrics

(Christmas)
The snow's coming down
(Christmas)
I'm watching it fall
(Christmas)
Lots of people around
(Christmas)
Baby please come home

(Christmas)
The church bells in town
(Christmas)
All ringing in song
(Christmas)
Full of a happy sound
(Christmas)
Oh baby please come home

They're singing "Deck The Halls"
But it's not like Christmas at all
'Cause I remember when you were here
And all the fun we had last year

(Christmas)
Pretty lights on the tree
(Christmas)
Yeah I'm watching them shine
(Christmas)
You should be here with me
(Christmas)
Baby please come home

(Christmas)
(Christmas)
(Christmas)
(Christmas)

They're singing "Deck The Halls"
But it's not like Christmas at all
'Cause I remember when you were here
And all the fun we had last year

(Christmas)
If there was a way
(Christmas)
I'd hold back this tear
(Christmas)
But it's Christmas day
Please, please, please, please
Please, please, please, please
Please, please, please, please
Please, baby, please come home
Please come home

Baby, please come home
Baby, please come home
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Please come home
Baby, please come home

Please come home
Yeah

Overall Meaning

The Williams's song Please Come Home is a classic blues ballad that tells a story of love, heartbreak and loneliness. The song is written from the perspective of a woman who is desperately missing her lover and reaches out to him in the hope of reconciliation. The first verse establishes the theme of the song, with the singer expressing her sadness and loneliness, and wishing her lover could understand how she feels. The chorus then follows, with the singer pleading with her lover to come home, as she can't cope with the worry and isolation of being without him.

As the song progresses, we learn that the singer is dealing with not only heartbreak, but also financial troubles. The line "Landlord gettin' worse, I've got to move May the first" implies that she is struggling to pay her rent, and desperately needs her lover to return in order to help her out. The final verse is perhaps the most poignant, with the singer admitting that she needs money and pleading with her lover to return. It's a raw, emotional and honest portrayal of the pain caused by heartbreak, and the desperation that can come with losing someone you love.

Listen to this song on repeat. Such an inspiration. Help us to open our eyes andΒ
re-evaluate our life. Gather our thoughts, compare our goods and bads. We'll realize God pulled us through the bads, that's why we're here today. God never leaves us, just calls his name during good and bad times. He's right beside you, he's listening. Stay patient,Β  stay focused, stay faithful,Β  and believe God will grant your request if it's in HIS PLAN for your life.Β  God never ever makes a mistake. Amen!
