The album "From the Wreckage" glows with a rootsy golden tone that encompasses everything from indie-folk, to alt-country, to blues-rock to Southern psychedelia. The raucous first single “With Your Two Hands” sounds like it could have been written during an impromptu back-porch jam session.
Every Other Sunday Morning
The Wind and the Wave Lyrics

I'm losing hope for better days
You wanna know how to fix it seven years a little late
You can't measure sadness by your sorrow
You're counting drops of heavy rain
Forever crawling out from under all the rubble, all the pain
I can't remember what made you mad
But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you, for you
Dressing up on Sunday morning
Every other one's the same
We sing divided hallelujah
There's gotta be a better way
And I can't remember why we were fighting
I can't remember what made you mad
But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you, for you
Oh sweet forgiveness, sweet forgiveness
I can't tell you how to fix it
I can't tell you when I gave up
But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you
The Wind and the Wave's "Every Other Sunday Morning" is a song about the decline of a relationship and the desperate attempts to maintain it. The opening lines immediately set the melancholic tone of the song, as the singer notes the loss of faith in each other and in the possibility for better days. Despite the singer being unsure of the reasons for the fights and anger that have occurred between them, they are determined to offer forgiveness and repair the relationship with their partner.
The chorus featuring the lyrics "Dressing up on Sunday morning, every other one's the same, we sing divided hallelujah, there's gotta be a better way" is significant as it represents the facade of normalcy and routine that the couple tries to maintain, despite the troubled nature of their relationship. They attend church every Sunday and sing together, but they are not united in their beliefs, hence the divided hallelujah. The singer recognizes that the relationship needs fixing but is unsure of how to do that, hence the line "I can't tell you how to fix it".

First time I heard Patty sing, I was bartending at Frank in downtown Austin, probably around 2011-2012. She was fronting Soldier Thread. I was working the upstairs bar when they started playing and the first note she sang, I told my line of customers, "I'll be back in a minute, I've got to know who this voice is coming from." Such a talent, and such a wonderful human being. When I heard that she and Dwight were starting this project, I could not wait. They did not disappoint. Beautiful music you two.

Beautiful song, just perfect. When I heard for the first time, I instantly thought someone should make a movie about this song, not the other way around. Perfect.

Damn, I'm impressed. I was listening to a pre-made "cover" list and heard your Ignition cover. I've always loved that song and when I heard it from a females vocal perspective, I was highly impressed. Then I searched it on YouTube and managed to find this. You have a beautiful voice with a control and security I never found myself. If I had been smart, knowing I was stage fright, I would have opened a record agency and signed people like you. You have a beautiful and pure voice. I can't wait to hear more from you. Keep on singing girl. Beautiful song and voice! <3
