Where, did we go wrong?
I miss you, hold on
Angry love songs, originals
Pick up your phone
Admit that you wrong
I miss you come home, call home

Downtown shorty she a lick up too
She a kick up a lot chat witcha ooh
Damn, when I drip drip pick up ooh
Like a lick up ting when I lick up boo, uh
That my lover that I wake up to
Buss a ten on 9 and a ten on two
Peng peng she oww and thick and full
Go down it, don't drown on it, uh

Where, did we go wrong?
I miss you, hold on
Angry love songs, originals
Pick up your phone
Admit that you wrong
I miss you come home, call home

You got me going like
Ohh, ohh, oh
Got me going like
I miss you come home
I miss you come home
I miss you come home, call home

See the tragedy done happen to me back then
And not for nothing they was looking at a black man
That booty scratching black lad with the black skin
Lil' light skin laughed hard at me back then
But little did they know the king and my accent
My past tense last name was a black king
London Langdon didn't rap then
Trini passing down the lane let me back in

Where, did we go wrong?
I miss you, hold on
Angry love songs, originals
Pick up your phone
Admit that you wrong
I miss you come home, call home

You got me going like
Ohh, ohh, oh
Got me going like
I miss you come home
I miss you come home
I miss you come home, call home

(Where, did we go wrong?
I miss you, hold on
Angry love songs, originals
Pick up your phone

Admit that you wrong
I miss you come home, call home)

Overall Meaning

Theo's "Cuba" is an emotional ballad where the singer misses his lover and confesses that they need to talk about the issues that took place to ruin their relationship. The first verse begins with the singer admitting that he misses the other person and requests them to hold on as he expresses his feelings. He then mentions that he has written angry love songs about them to convey his frustration with the situation, and now he wants them to admit that they were wrong. In the chorus section, the singer repeats his plea for the other person to come home as he misses them dearly.

In the second verse, the singer talks about a woman he is currently involved with, but it's not the same as his previous lover. He refers to this woman as "Downtown Shorty" and mentions how they have a conversation and how she helps him get through the day. He also refers to the fact that he is just using her for pleasure, but it does not match how he felt with his previous lover. In the bridge section, he recounts a tragic event that happened to him where he was ridiculed and looked down upon because of the color of his skin. However, he also mentions how it does not matter anymore, and he wants to move on from the past.

Overall, the song is a bittersweet ode to a past relationship that did not work out. The lyrics convey the sadness and longing felt by the singer to reunite with his lover. Although he has moved on with someone new, the love he had for his previous lover still lingers in his heart.
