With keen pop sensibilities, a skewed sense of humour and a willingness to draw inspiration from diverse sources (notably punk rock), Therapy? came to attention in the early 1990s rise of alternative rock, but have endured for more than a decade since; Critic Johnny Loftus writes, "After a ten-plus year career that has seen them outlast competitors and outwit industry attempts at categorization, Therapy? are still headbangers with their thinking caps screwed on tight."

And kiss the girl goodbye
Your foetus
Is dead dripping down your dress
And her life
Now means to me even less
In her head
Was only
The knife that he couldn't find
Can't get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
This family
I've looked for all my life
Is killing
Everything I've ever loved
He tells me
To give my firstborn up
I love him
He's all I ever want
Can't get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Get him out of your system
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
I don't fit, take me out of here
I don't fit, take me out of here
I don't fit, take me out of here
(Can't get him out of your system)
I don't fit, take me out of here
(Get him out of your system)
(Get him out, get him out, get him out, can't get him out)
I don't fit, take me out of here
(Get him out, get him out, get him out, can't get him out)
I don't fit, take me out of here
(No, you can't get him out)
(No, you'll never get him out)
(Get him out, can't get him out)
(No, you'll never get him out)
The lyrics to Therapy?'s song "Dancin' with Manson" paint a dark and disturbing picture of a woman who is trapped in an abusive relationship with a man who has potentially murdered their unborn child. The opening lines suggest that the woman is being coerced into taking a knife to a hill to dispose of evidence of their crime. The song then delves into the psyche of the woman, as she grapples with the emotional fallout of the traumatic experience, including the loss of her child and the realization that her partner is a monster.
The lyrics make use of vivid, often graphic imagery - the foetus dripping down the woman's dress, for example - to create a sense of urgency and horror. The repeated refrain of "Can't get him out of your system, lead and I will follow" is particularly haunting, suggesting that the woman may be entangled in a codependent and deeply unhealthy relationship with her abuser.
Overall, "Dancin' with Manson" is a powerful and disturbing exploration of themes of abuse, trauma, and psychological manipulation.

Take the knife on up the hill, lover
Go up the hill with a knife, my dear
And kiss the girl goodbye
Say farewell to the girl you once knew
Your foetus
Your unborn baby
Is dead dripping down your dress
Your baby is dead and its blood is staining your clothes
And her life
The baby's life
Now means to me even less
The baby's death means nothing to me
In her head
The woman is thinking
The knife that he put inside
The knife that the man inserted
Was only
It was nothing but
The knife that he couldn't find
The knife that he misplaced
Can't get him out of your system
You can't stop thinking about him
Lead and I will follow, lead and I will follow
Take me wherever you go

The whole album is great but this is the standout track for me. I was there for Grunge (man) and Babyteeth holds it's own against anything going at the time. And the fact they were Nordies made it even better.

Must have had a rough time working out the lyrics, couldn’t hear them clearly on the vinyl

I just love the dual vocals between Andy and Fyfe. After he left, Andy and Michael (or Martin) should have done this more
@IAmTheBestMang
On their most recent tour they played this one and Michael did the "lead and I will follow" bit. Was quite cool, Michael's got a good voice.
