Thirteen Senses have four studio albums: The Invitation (27 September 2004), Contact (2 April 2007) , Crystal Sounds (21 February 2011) and A Strange Encounter (5 May 2014).
In terms of their style and sound, Thirteen Senses are quite similar to other British bands like Keane and Coldplay; but take on a wider range of influences, including Mew, Mercury Rev and a minimalist aesthetic, with their lyrics also visiting darker themes.

Thirteen Senses Lyrics

I'd say it all
If only every sound that I make
Said it all
Distance
Warning
Contact
Out of control
Wake up from your sleep
It's not a dream, it's not a dream
And everything is out on a breeze
It's good for me
Distance
Warning
Contact
Warning
Out of control
The opening lines of Thirteen Senses's song Contact suggest a sense of urgency to communicate a message that is too vast to be expressed in the limited time available. The emotions are intense and fully felt: "If only there was time to say it all, I'd say it all", the singer confesses. The next lines show a desire to speak through everything that surrounds them, as if the singer wants to reach out and connect to something beyond themselves. The repetition of "distance warning contact warning" suggests that this message might also come at a risk or with some kind of cost.
The chorus kicks in with a sense of desperation, like a call to action: "Wake up from your sleep, it's not a dream". The urgency is also conveyed through the use of repetition and the way the lines are sung. The voice goes from a whisper to a scream as if the singer is trying to wake someone up from a deep slumber or to reach out to them through a barrier. The reference to "everything" being "out on a breeze" suggests that this may be a moment of release or surrender to the natural flow of things, even if it feels chaotic or uncertain. The repetition of "distance warning contact warning" adds a sense of danger or uncertainty to this release.
