XTENDED.DANCE - Thomas Donovan's latest release is an electronica dance album evocative of ancient dance rituals across the globe. Thomas released the album in Spain during August of 2008, to very favourable response in the dance clubs.
"Dreaming of another world…" with these words Thomas Donovan invites us to experience a trance dream in the lead track Pump Up The Love, the first single released from XTENDED.DANCE. The digital-dynamo compels the listener to alter one's reality with quantum ideology. Pump Up The Love-The Video is a digital adventure into a labyrinth of thought extending from the depths of the oceans to the outer reaches of galaxies.
"Pump Up the Love is a lyrical answer to the questions raised by such movies as What the Bleep!? and The Secret - "the power of creation starts in your mind," states Donovan.
Extended dance and remix versions of Donovan's hits Calling Around the World, Total Controller and Trapped are featured on the album, as well as a UK Dance Remix of Colour by North Ireland's talented remix producer Micky Dodds. Donovan's signature edgy electronica sound is skillfully fused with luscious pop melodies throughout. The high-energy tracks appeal to an international audience with an inclination for euro influenced dance tracks. So, take a listen, then bust out the moves.

If blue is for lonely
If green is for envy
I picture how your colours draw me
Like the hues in the way you haunt me
The shades of the ways you read me
Colour my heart illogical
Colour our kisses magical
Colour your eyes inescapable
Colour our love...
Incalculable, indescribable, unfathomable, undeniable
Immeasurable, inconceivable, unreckonable, unbelievable
Your palette of colour love plays
The hues that you use in your gaze
The tones in the flames of your blaze
Your purple sapphire love craze
I picture how your colours draw me now
Paint me the shades you want me now
With a tint you the way you taunt me now
And a tinge of the way you taste so wow
Colour my heart illogical
Colour our kisses magical
Colour your eyes inescapable
Colour our love
Incalculable, indescribable, unfathomable, undeniable
Immeasurable, inconceivable, unreckonable, unbelievable
If blue is for lonely
If green is for envy
If red is for hot the hey.
Colour me yours
Colour you mine.
Colour my heart illogical
Colour our kisses magical
Colour your eyes inescapable
Colour our love.
Incalculable, indescribable, unfathomable, undeniable
Immeasurable, inconceivable, unreckonable, unbelievable
Thomas Donovan's song Colour delves into the idea of love being represented through different colours. The lyrics are essentially an extended metaphor of the way different colours evoke different emotions or states of being, as though the singer is trying to paint a picture of their relationship through the colours that represent it. The lines "If blue is for lonely, if green is for envy," set up the concept of using colour as a way to understand emotions, and then the rest of the song plays off this idea.
The song seems to be exploring the complexities of a romantic relationship. The singer talks about how the different shades and hues of their partner's character can both draw them in and push them away. The lines "The sketchy way you never need me" suggest that the relationship is fraught with difficulty and insecurity, which is mirrored by the idea of coloring the heart illogical. The repeated refrain of "colour our love" creates a sense of longing; the singer is trying to capture the essence of their love in a visual way, as though the words alone are not enough to express the depth of their feelings.
One interpretation of the song is that the different colours represent different aspects of the relationship. Blue could symbolize sadness, green envy, and red passion; the idea being that all these emotions make up the complex tapestry that is love. The line "Your purple sapphire love craze" is interesting because purple is often seen as a color of royalty or nobility. Sapphire is a precious gemstone, which could symbolize the value and rarity of the love being described. By blending the two colors, the singer is suggesting that their love is something special and unique.
Overall, Thomas Donovan's Colour is a love song that uses colours to paint a picture of romantic attachment. Through its use of symbolism, the song creates a sense of intimacy and emotional depth that is both sensual and deeply felt.
