+Jon Snew I appreciate the perspective Jon.

The thing is, I also license music and am bound to certain legal agreements that prohibit me from displaying songs in their entirety, or in certain ways. There is a lot that goes on in the music world behind the scenes that people don't know about. Independent these days doesn't necessarily mean small or simple.

In the case of Overwhelmed, it wasn't popular because I allowed the song to play in it's entirety, it was popular because it was featured in a campaign across the entire United States. Also I believe music videos simply by their nature will generate more views. I will never limit music videos in the same way when just announcing a new track.

For me, YouTube is a great place to quickly connect with my fans to say: "Hey! I have some new music out! They know where to get it if they want it, both legally and ... not so legally :)

I continue to hold the position however that artists should be supported for their work. Without it, I would still be working in a plastics factory and wouldn't have released anything.

The reason so much great music has died off is because people have bought into the crazy idea that everything should just be free. Producing a professional song or album is a lot of work and money.

So, I don't think I am damaging my ability of recognition. I am simply supporting a model I believe is necessary. It gives people the chance to do the right thing. It's their choice - they can go stream a song for a few pennies, or they can go torrent it. One choice lets music live, the other kills it off.

Thanks for being honest :)

Сколько песен я переслушал, но именно от вашего исполнения лучшие , каждый раз когда слушаю нахожу что то новое для себя , и как ребенок радуюсь пополнениям новых песен. )
