All We Ever Wish

Importance always tests the inner means
Lately, I'm fawning over stage
Laying centers out
In the shade
Oh, shelter makes the able man
Entranced as history, the utterances
Heavy-headed home
In the page
Free it all to end
Derive sweet lessons learned
Try and have enough
Bounty calls
It's freshness - the earth repents
And all we ever wish...
As you believe, carry along
They'll stop to meet you, finally
Armed with the best
Rain-soaked petals, to send back
Rain-soaked portals will lead you forward
It, found again
Lifted off the ground again
Innocent
Go, breathe again
If you want, believe again
In a sense of belonging
Have, use again
While you can abuse
And then release
Nothing can stop us
And all we ever wish for you is love
We are unmasked
And all we ever wish for you is love
Sleep, dream again
In a breath, be resonant
Raise yourself
Wake and announce
It's the intention that counts
Not result
In the morning
Go, have your fun
Rule the world, carry along
As you believe
Never surrender
And all we ever wish for you is love
It's been so hard
And all we ever wish for you is love
Oh, love
The lyrics of Time of Orchids' song "All We Ever Wish" convey a message of perseverance and hope amidst adversity. The first stanza reflects on the importance we often assign to external factors, and how this can distract us from focusing on our inner intentions and desires. The second stanza talks about laying centers out in the shade, which can be interpreted as taking the necessary time and space to introspect and nurture our inner selves. The lines "shelter makes the able man" and "try and have enough" further suggest the importance of taking care of oneself and having a sense of sufficiency.
The chorus repeatedly mentions the phrase "and all we ever wish for you is love", which can be seen as the ultimate goal and motivation behind the perseverance and self-care advocated for in the song. The subsequent stanzas offer words of encouragement and support, such as "they'll stop to meet you, finally" and "nothing can stop us". The line "it's the intention that counts, not result" reminds us of the importance of focusing on our own journey and progress rather than being fixated on external validation or outcome.
The song ends on a note of upliftment, with the lines "go, have your fun, rule the world, carry along as you believe, never surrender". Overall, "All We Ever Wish" is a song of empowerment that reminds us of the importance of self-care, perseverance, and the ultimate goal of love.
