His biggest hit song is his friend Joel Hallikainen`s performed tune called "Kuurankukka". He concentrated as the film writer/ director at first in the serie of the adventure comedy films of Pekko Aikamiespoika (his own figure, singer too), (during the years 1992-1997, after the TV serie) and later he has done the biography/ history films of the remarkable persons like Reino Helismaa, Esa Pakarinen & Tapio Rautavaara (Kulkuri & joutsen, 1999), Irwin Goodman & Vexi Salmi (Rentun ruusu, 2001), Jean Sibelius (Sibelius, 2003) + 2 fictive films: Kaksipäisen kotkan varjossa (2005) and Kalteva torni (2006). His newest production is the new version of the well-known Finnish movie "Täällä Pohjantähden alla", which will be ready in the next years. He has made the music to his films primarily by himself. He has made three own long plays till now (Pekko Aikamiespoika (1992) & Aina on notkosta noustu (1995, contains his biggest solo hit "Koomikon kyyneleet"), one of them with Joel Hallikainen (Kimpassa, 1998, the tour too), who made with him before their successful careers the common single recordings. They had the common, successful TV-show called Tuttu Juttu Show, which lasted total 10 years during 1992-2002, in the last times Koivusalo did it alone, later he has got two other series.
