Youngblood
Tokyo Motor Fist Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

YOUNGBLOOD

You walk that walk and talk your talk
cross the line without second thought
You see the light in a darkened room
and solve the case of impending doom

Tryin' to change the world
Everyday
Ridin' the winds of change
Not fade away

YOUNGBLOOD
Ain't nothin' in the world
that you can't do
YOUNGBLOOD
got something to say
and alot to prove
YOUNGBLOOD
there ain't no mountain
you won't climb
YOUNGBLOOD
kickin' the storms
right from your life

You fight the fight and right that wrong
always catch that pass when you're going long

you'll find the truth in a sea of lies
keep the drama low with your head held high

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Tokyo Motor Fist's song "Youngblood" speak to the spirit of youth and possibility. The song tells the story of a young person who is determined to make a difference in the world. They walk with confidence and speak with conviction, unafraid to cross lines and take risks. They possess a keen intuition that allows them to see light in even the darkest of rooms and to solve problems that others might find insurmountable. They are driven by a sense of purpose, and every day they push themselves to ride the winds of change, never fading away.

The refrain of the song celebrates the boundless potential of youth. The singer declares that "Youngblood" can accomplish anything in the world that they set their mind to. They have something to say and a lot to prove, and there is no mountain too high for them to climb. They are fearless in the face of the storms of life, kicking them aside with ease. The lyrics also acknowledge the challenges that the young person will face on their path. They will have to fight for what is right, they will have to catch those metaphorical passes when going "long" and they will need to navigate the "sea of lies" to find the truth. But through it all, they must keep their head held high and their drama low, for they know that they have what it takes to make a difference in the world.

This song is in my list of THE 10 MOST POSITIVE SONGS - both in message and in sound. Major key rocks!

It sounds like a mix of Danger Danger from "Revolve" album with "Loud minority" from Crazy Lixx. I'm freakin' love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤘

The 80's wants it's music back and Frontiers delivers again.

Ri Shz

Too much made for pop radio type sound.
Thin Lizzy's albums Renegade or Thunder & Lightning instead.

@Oleh S. What? For somebody that goes by that name you'd think you would do something about that. Kidding aside, you're right Trixter and Danger Danger were second, even third tier bands with maybe one or two good songs or a cool video that got some airplay. They're what I call "see if they'll stick" bands that record companies took advantage of in the hope to cash in on. DD was supposed to be the next Poison and Trixter, the next Warrant but both ended up the next Jesse Strange. Have to admit though that Trixter's 2012 and 2015 albums (a least the songs that had videos) were a bit better than their 90's material.
I still listen to a lot of 80's bands that never hit big or I found in discount cassette bins back in the days of Sam Goodys, Crazy Eddies and the early days of dollar stores. First Signal and Unruly Child (both Mark/Marcie Free), Balance (Bob Kulick),
Alias, Sanders, and Icon are just some of the bands I found.

80s can not be back again. Different sound, culture, recording techniques and conditions. This band actually has nothing really special or original. Neither Trixter nor Danger Danger were first class bands those times. You can not compare them to Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, WASP, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Europe, etc. Maybe, for the new guys this particular album is great, but for those who used to listen to real 80s metal during that times.. well there are still a lot of 80s music far better and more nostalgic than this one.
