play a bit of play dough,
nothing gonna stop me now
I'm going Yolo.
I'm like a dynamo, give me my own show, I've found
of way of making difficult decisions.
Shall I bring my dog? Yolo
Shall I go to the moon? Yolo
Shall I do it soon? Yolo
Shall I kiss the girl? Yolo
Shall I give her a pearl? Yolo
Shall I climb the tree? Yolo
You probably get the picture now
Buts Lets go to Sarajevo, play a bit of play dough, nothing gonna stop me
now i'm going Yolo.
I'm like a dynamo, give me my own show, I've found
of way of making difficult decisions.
I fell asleep, Yolo was too much for me
The lyrics to Tom Rosenthal's song Yolo reflect a carefree, impulsive and adventurous approach to life. The singer is making bold decisions, pushing past fear and limitations, and living life to the fullest. The idea that "you only live once" ("Yolo") serves as the motivation for their actions. The first verse sets a playful tone, with an invitation to go to Sarajevo and play with play dough. The singer declares that nothing will stop them, indicating a fearlessness and determination to take risks.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Yolo," emphasizing the singer's willingness to take on challenges without hesitation. They claim to have found a way of making difficult decisions, suggesting that they are confident in their instincts and ability to trust their own judgement. The examples given in the chorus range from mundane decisions like going to the shops or bringing a dog along, to more extravagant ones such as going to the moon or giving a partner a pearl. The singer is living life to its fullest, embracing every opportunity for adventure and spontaneity.
The song's carefree spirit is encapsulated in the final line of the chorus, "You probably get the picture now." It suggests that the singer's approach to life is so clear and uncomplicated that it doesn't require further explanation. The final line of the verse, "I fell asleep, Yolo was too much for me," reinforces the idea that this approach to life is not for everyone and carries consequences. Overall, the lyrics to Tom Rosenthal's Yolo serve as a reminder to live life boldly and take risks, embracing the magic of the moment.
