1. A French Electronic music producer (now named Tommy '86), very inspired by 80's music such as synth-wave, synth-pop, new-wave, italo-disco, and other related genres. He started to make music in mid-2011, but produced his first synthwave tracks only at the beginning of 2012. After listening to a track of College he had the idea to do this kind of music. His first synth-wave productions had enough feedback to encourage him to continue. Tommy has released a few singles, three EP, one LP and some remixes, for other synth-wave artists such as Awkoder, Protector 101, Future Feelings and Gossip Culture. He also released three other remixes for three more established electronic artists: Kavinsky, Lifelike and Sébastien Tellier. "Getting high" is one of the four remixes chosen by Lifelike & Popular Computer themselves and has been released on their own Computer Science label.
2. Pop-punk band from Ukiah, CA with a penchant for gang vocals. Comprised of: Tim Parks - Guitar, Vocals; Christian Freeman - Drums; Luke Slinkert - Vox, Guitar and Chad Goodin - Bass, Vocals and signed to independent label Bound By The Black Rag records. They kick it.
3. Songwriter, Tommy Donald Colin from Belgium writes his songs, his words and composes his arrangements on his own, creating a sensitive sound directed towards melody, giving a positive energy while remaining cool. Then he leaves his roots, folk, rock, oriental or still electro, and surrounds himself with his musicians Dominique Djian (keys), Olivier Duck Calmeyn (bass) and Benoit Fix Derycke (drums) with whom a genuine band spirit has arisen.
4. Tommy is a 4 piece rock band that originated in Beijing. All 4 met as expats living overseas and formed in early 2005. Members include Joe Bissell (guitar, vocals), David Su (drums), Mitchell Marecki (bass), Chris Suderman (Keyboards, backing vocals). Their style involves extensive jams, fusing of many genres into rock (suck as jazz, and even Indian melodies), and unorthodox stage shows. Tommy has recently had an offer to sign to a record label in Beijing which they had to refuse due to legal complications.
5. Tommy from New Zealand brings together the moods of reggae, rock, soul and a dash of pop in a melodic melting pot to form their 'folk roots' sound. Comfortably sitting alongside the adult contemporary music of Jack Johnson and the John Butler Trio, Tommy's sound is rooted in soothing melodies and flowing piano lines which meld in an organic blend that is unmistakably from Aotearoa.
6. There is also a duo comprised of Carrie Brownstein and Lois Maffeo called Tommy, and they've only recorded a song called "Go Sonics".
7. A Norwegian guitarist and vocalist. Is a guitarist in the famous Norwegian folkrock band, PLUMBO.

Reflections
Tommy Lyrics

Trying to seek new light
It glistened once, now it's unrefined and cold
Try to live a perfect life
Paint our world in gold
Before we realized we were owned and sold
Reflections hurt my eyes
Glimmer in the sun
The brilliance comes undone
We worked these mines for far too long
Set our lives in stone
The tracks that lead us down are overgrown
Climb out to a past we'd lost
Now the future's old
The embers burned too bright for us to hold
Reflections hurt my eyes
Rays cut me the size
Glimmer in the sun
The brilliance comes undone
Reflections hurt my eyes
Rays cut me the size
Glimmer in the sun
The brilliance comes undone
In "Reflections" by Tommy, the lyrics reflect themes of introspection, disillusionment, and realization. The first verse delves into the act of searching for meaning and light in a world that has lost its shine. The imagery of staring into a gleaming stone that is now unrefined and cold symbolizes the disillusionment that comes with trying to live up to societal expectations and striving for a perfect life painted in gold. The realization of being owned and sold speaks to a loss of agency and control in one's own life, leading to a sense of longing for authenticity and self-discovery.
The chorus repeats the refrain "Reflections hurt my eyes, Rays cut me the size," emphasizing the discomfort and pain that can come with self-reflection and facing the harsh truths of one's existence. The imagery of the brilliance coming undone in the sun suggests a stripping away of illusions and false layers to reveal the raw and unfiltered truth beneath the surface. This could indicate a process of self-discovery and facing reality with open eyes, despite the discomfort it may bring.
The second verse continues to explore themes of labor and sacrifice, as the lyrics describe working in the mines for too long and setting lives in stone, leading to a sense of being trapped or stuck in a predetermined path. The mention of overgrown tracks and lost pasts alludes to a sense of being disconnected from one's roots and heritage, highlighting the struggle to break free from the confines of a rigid and predetermined future. The reference to embers burning too bright to hold suggests a fleeting and transient nature of desire and ambition that can ultimately lead to disappointment and unfulfilled dreams.
As the song progresses, the repetition of the chorus further reinforces the idea of the pain and discomfort that can come with introspection and self-examination. The glimmer in the sun and brilliance coming undone serve as powerful metaphors for the unraveling of idealized perceptions and the unveiling of harsh realities. Ultimately, "Reflections" by Tommy conveys a poignant message about the complexities of self-discovery, the disillusionment that can come with chasing after perfection, and the importance of confronting one's own reflection, no matter how uncomfortable it may be.
