In 2004 Tone Tone released his album "Skoolz In Session" which featured major artists such as B.G. and Detroit mega producer K.I.D.D.. He first gained national attention with his lead single "I Ain't Playin Witcha" which was produced by K.I.D.D.
When 2005 came around Tone Tone was an established Detroit artist. He released his first mixtape "Strictly Fo Da Streetz". His group New Skool also released their debut album titled "D-Boy Surviva" which was also released under Wide Open Records.
In 2006 Tone Tone released two mixtapes both hosted by DJ Young Mase titled "Motivation For Da New Generation" & "Ride Witcha Boy Mixtape". It was noted that around this time Tone Tone signed with Jazze Pha's Sho'Nuff Records.
Then in the summer of 2007 Tone Tone released his second full length album titled "D-Boy Fresh" which put out the single "What Up Doe" which made its world premier on 97.9 WJLB.
Throughout 2008 Tone Tone released a bunch of singles through DJ Young Mase to be showcased on his mixtapes. He was also released from Sho'Nuff Records on mutual terms.
When 2009 came around it was rumored that Tone Tone with fellow Detroit artist K-Doe aka K-Deezy would put out an album titled "Eastside/Westside" which featured a single with the same name. Tone Tone also put out singles such as "Jockin'" featuring Gorilla Zoe & Ace Hood & "Things You Do" featuring Lil' Wanye & Lloyd. Tone Tone is released "I Am The D" his fourth mixtape. He released two singles "91 Bars" and "Doin' Good" featuring OJ Da Juiceman as a result.
Early in the 2010 year Tone Tone has released his latest mixtape titled "Kill The Streetz". The mixtape showcased many of the popular songs from the "I Am The D" mixtape. It also contained new singles such as "Hood Luv" which featured Blood Raw of U.S.D.A., "Still Gutta" which featured K-Doe aka K-Deezy & MC Breed & "Dirty Money" which sampled the famous Michael Jackson song "Dirty Diana". His video for "Doin' Good" featuring OJ Da Juiceman debuted on MTV in March.
In 2011 the mixtape "No Hookz" was released which had singles from past mixtapes along with new songs with artists Shorty The Prince & Lloyd of Murder INC. fame.
