Around 2010, Tongo started doing parodies of famous songs, like "Baby and "Let It Be", but it was just in 2016, when he released a parody of System of a Down's "Chop Suey!" on his Youtube channel, that he became internationally famous. With more than 18 million views, the videoclip also cemented the "Tonglish" — a mix of Peruvian Spanish, English, and unkown words he created himself — which he is now known for.
