I have come curiously close to the end, down

This light is not my own and
The source of my strength is something external, beyond myself

A million light reflections pass over me
I am surrounded by the reflections of the light that is not my own

The source of this external light is boundless and brings hope

The external light has the power to revive those who have lost hope

Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting

As I become more aware of the external light, my doubts diminish

I am aware that dwelling on my ego and self-importance will only lead to more pain

I must crucify the ego before it's far too late

It is imperative that I let go of my ego before it consumes me entirely

To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical
I must leave behind the negative, limiting mindset that has kept me in this dark place

And you will come to find that we are all one mind
Once I am able to let go of my ego, I will realize that we are all connected and of the same essence

Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable
Once I recognize our interconnectedness, I will see that we are capable of achieving great things beyond our wildest imaginations

Just let the light touch you
All that is needed is for me to allow the external light to touch and guide me

And let the words spill through
By letting the external light in, I will be able to express myself more freely and authentically

And let them pass right through
I will no longer hold on to the negative thoughts and emotions that have been hindering me

Bringing out our hope and reason
The external light will bring out our inherent hope and reason
