Raised in the Djursholm district of Danderyd, Lo is an alumna of the music school Rytmus Musikergymnasiet. She formed the rock band Tremblebee in 2006. After it disbanded, Lo pursued a career in songwriting and earned a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music in 2011. Working with producers Alexander Kronlund, Max Martin and Xenomania, she became a successful songwriter, while also recording and releasing her own compositions independently.
In 2013, Lo was signed to Universal Music, Island and Polydor. The following year, Lo rose to prominence with her debut album, Queen of the Clouds. It spawned the sleeper hit single "Habits (Stay High)", which peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as "Talking Body". Her second album, Lady Wood, was released in October 2016 and debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200. Its lead single, "Cool Girl", became an international hit. Her follow-up records, Blue Lips (2017) and Sunshine Kitty (2019), also performed well, the latter spawning the song "Glad He's Gone", which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Video.
In addition to her solo work, Lo has co-written songs for other artists, including: Lorde's "Homemade Dynamite" (2017) and Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do" (2015), a song that garnered her Grammy Award and Golden Globe nominations. She has collaborated with many artists, such as Charli XCX, Flume, SG Lewis, Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue and Coldplay, among others.
Out of Mind

Move on to strangers
Let go, no more us
Move on, I'm trying
Denying, saying 'time will heal'
Keep lying to make me feel
I'm ok
I'd forget you
Seriously?
Are you kidding me?
You're out of your, you're out of your
You're out of your mind to think that I
You're out of your, you're out of your
You're out of your mind to think that I
To think that I could keep you out of mine
Happy, used to be
Together, you and me
Things die, drift apart
Wait for a new start
Denying, think you'll fade away
Keep lying, I can hear you say
You're in touch with reality
Baby, I'd say
Are you kidding me?
You're out of your, you're out of your
You're out of your mind to think that I
You're out of your, you're out of your
You're out of your mind to think that I
To think that I could keep you out of mine
How can you say I'll be alright?
What makes you think that I'll be fine?
Baby, you have to be completely out of your
You're out of your mind
To think that I could keep you out of mine
You're out of your, you're out of your
You're out of your, you're out of your mind to think that I
You're out of your, you're out of your
You're out of your mind to think that I
To think that I could keep you out of mine
You're out of your mind
You're out of your mind
You're out of your mind to think that I, to think that I, to think that I
To think that I could keep you out of mine
The song "Out of Mind" by Tove Lo is a heartfelt commentary on the end of a romantic relationship and the difficulty of moving on. The lyrics describe the process of trying to let go of someone who was once a lover and is now just a memory. The chorus declares that the ex-partner is "out of their mind" to believe that the singer can forget them, indicating that the pain of separation is still fresh and not something easily overcome.
The first verse sets up the scenario of moving from lover to friend to stranger, and the difficulty of letting go. The singer feels like they're being lied to when their ex-partner tells them to just give it time and things will get better. The second verse suggests that the singer is trying to move on, but their ex is insistent on staying in touch and pretending that everything is okay. The lyrics are poignant and reveal the conflicting emotions that come with the end of a relationship.
Overall, "Out of Mind" is a highly relatable song that captures the complex emotions that come with heartbreak. The chorus is especially powerful, with its repetition and emphasis on the idea that it's impossible to forget someone you once loved so deeply.

@sammisweeti26
She's the most real-looking singer we've had in a long long time. I absolutely love how she doesn't look "flawless" and airbrushed all the time. She's real and raw and lovely <3
@mostlyzaye

Tove Lo is so underappreciated, her lyrics are so beautiful and raw. She's such a great artist that deserves way more recognition.

This is how depression feels..
no matter how much you try to run away from it
it will catch up, and when it does, sworm around you till it gets to your head
its like freakin wave of emotions

+Anitana Jawara Yeah, this video repesents me in so many levels...It's just like you said.
@Sleepy1Clown
+Anitana Jawara I know what you mean but with meds you can put some distance between you and the "evil spirits". They will smother some of your feelings, but you don't have to live with pain and anxiety all your life.
