On November 22nd, 2002, the band released Trapt, along with the single "Headstrong". "Headstrong" became a fantastic hit, reaching #1 on alternative charts and #16 on pop. Follow-up singles "Still Frame" and "Echo" (with a video featuring Michelle Trachtenberg) did respectably, although they never reached the heights of "Headstrong". "Headstrong" became the official theme song of WWE Bad Blood for June 2003. Trapt eventually hit platinum. After more than one year an EP followed on March 30th, 2004, that included a new song called "Promise" along with live versions of "Made Of Glass" and "Echo".
On September 13th, 2005, the band released their sophomore album "Someone In Control" along with the single "Stand Up". "Stand Up" failed to do as well as any of their previous singles, although it still made an excellent run on active rock stations. "Waiting" and "Disconnected (Out Of Touch)", were also released as singles, and have yet to repeat the success of any of Trapt's self-titled radio hits. The band spent the first half of 2006 co-headlining with Shinedown as part of the Equinox Tour.
A live album was released in September, 2007, containing live tracks from both previous albums with new studio tracks "Stay Alive" and "Everything to Lose".
Trapt hit the studio in July 2007 to begin recording their 3rd album, which was released on 5th August 2008 named "Only Through the Pain...".
Trapt announced in late fall/early winter 2009 they were working on a new album for summer or fall release in 2010. On July 20, 2010, Trapt released their first single "Sound Off," for the upcoming album "No Apologies," due out in stores October 12, 2010.

I found myself still thinking of you
And I felt so empty and now I'm fine
But it's still burning when will you be mine?
Too much of the same stories in our lives
I think it's time to change, don't you?
Too much of the same stories in our lives
Stories in our lives, we keep them all inside
Stories in our lives, we keep them all inside
Look at me still in your mind
Our memories so intertwined
Well you broke through and found your way
And so did I, no need to stay
The same old picture, tried and true
We've been through that, let's look fro something new
Too much of the same stories in our lives
I think it's time to change, don't you?
Too much of the same stories in our lives
I think it's time for us to walk away from here
Do you remember lying on the beach so late at night?
Do you remember running through the sprinklers that night?
Do you remember all the songs that I have wrote for you?
All the songs that I have wrote for you
For you
I remember the way you made me feel when I was with you
I remember the smile that always brought me back to you
That look in your eyes, I never thought that this could be untrue
That look in your eyes, I never thought that this could be untrue
Untrue-do-la-la
Do-do-la-da
Do-do-la-da
Do-do-la-da-do
Yeah-yeah-yeah
Too much of the same stories in our lives
I think it's time to change, don't you?
Too much of the same stories in our lives
I think it's time for us to walk away from here
The lyrics of the song "Stories" by Trapt expresses the turmoil of a past love that is still haunting. The first verse conveys the pain of being still hung up on someone, despite moving on. The singer discovered a line of connection that grew and kept him thinking of his past lover. Though an empty feeling persist, he hopes that one day they will be together again.
However, the chorus suggests that the repetition of the same old story in their lives is becoming tiresome, and it's time to make a change. The memories and stories they keep inside them are not enough to keep them together. The singer realizes that the relationship is no longer the same, and it's time for them to move on.
The bridge takes a nostalgic turn as the singer reflects on the happy memories they shared. He talks about lying on the beach at night and running through the sprinklers, and all the songs he wrote for her. The singer remembers the way she made him feel and the smile that brought him back to her.
In conclusion, "Stories" by Trapt is a song about the powerful memories and stories that people keep inside them. It's about letting go of a relationship that is not working anymore and making room for new experiences.
