Mama never let you guys outside
She probably still beat yo' ass
Man, what the- you a virgin? You a virgin, huh?
Your lil' small, your lil' skinny-ass can't even take it
What you doin' with that weed?
Where you get that, huh?
I'ma tell your mama
The lyrics to Travi$ Scott’s “SDP Interlude” are repetitive and focus on the use of drugs and alcohol. The repeated phrase, “Smoke some, drink some, pop one” is repeated throughout the entirety of the song, creating a hypnotic effect that mirrors the numbness that can happen from excessive drug use. The phrase becomes a chant that lulls the listener into submission, encouraging them to join in and indulge in the vices that Travi$ Scott is promoting.
The second portion of the song switches gears and becomes a conversation between Travi$ Scott and an unknown person. The conversation is fragmented and disjointed, and the individual that Travi$ Scott is speaking to seems to be scared and inexperienced with drugs. Travi$ Scott taunts the person, calling them a virgin, and implying that they are weak and cannot handle drugs. He then asks where they obtained the drugs and threatens to tell their mother, further showcasing his disregard for the consequences of his actions.
Overall, “SDP Interlude” speaks to the darkness that can come from excessive drug and alcohol use. Travi$ Scott’s repetitive lyrics encourage the listener to join in and indulge in their vices, while the second half of the song paints a picture of the potential dangers that can come from this lifestyle.

You taste good like soul food
Parked up outside in the old school
The new me back with the old you
A dog always find his way back home and it's so true
Make it home, fall through and pop one
You know the motto's "smoke some, drink some, pop one"
Got your hand on my Glock while your ass ride shotgun
High stakes, you risk it every day
Ride around, around
I know fuckin' ugly n***as just not fun
Had to zero out the fade cause I'm not one
