You already sold your soul
Your insides all feel dead
Theres a killer in your head
Run away run away run away run away run away run away
Way I wanna run a
Way I wanna run a
Way I wanna run a
You run but you cant move
You're stuck inside a groove
Youre searching for some light
You're lost into the night
Run away run away run away run away run away run away
Way I wanna run a
Way I wanna run a
Way I wanna run a
Way I wanna run a
The song "So Far Away" by Trevor Something is a hauntingly beautiful track that speaks to the feelings of discontent and disillusionment. In the first verse, the singer sings about someone who has sold their soul and feels dead inside. They are haunted by a killer in their head, suggesting that they are struggling with inner demons that they cannot escape. The repeated refrain of "run away" suggests that the person is trapped in their circumstances and feels the need to escape, but they are unable to do so.
The second verse continues this theme, as the singer sings about someone who is stuck in a groove and searching for light in the darkness. The repetition of the phrase "run away" feels urgent and desperate, as if the person is running for their life. The way the lyrics are structured, with the repetition of certain phrases and the use of staccato rhythms, creates a feeling of unease that underscores the sense of distress in the song.
Overall, "So Far Away" speaks to the human desire for freedom and release from the difficulties of life. The lyrics suggest that the person is trapped within their circumstances and is struggling to escape, and the haunting melody and sparse instrumentation only add to the song's sense of despair.

Lyrics:
I cant tell you nothing
cause you just know it all
and even if i tried you would just straight ignore my call
well let me tell you something
there is no me and you
and when you're drunk you think its okay to text me out the blue.
But that isn't cool
and life isn't fair
its so difficult
i try not to care
theres feelings involved
i got to let go
we have to move on
continue to grow.
We thought it would last forever
together every day
we used to be so close
but now you're so far away.
You want me to come get you
but thats not happening
you're probably fucked up and broke up with your new boyfriend
well im not that replacement
cause i was there before
and if you think theres something left theres nothing anymore.
But that isn't cool
and life isn't fair
its so difficult
i try not to care
theres feelings involved
i got to let go
we have to move on
continue to grow.
We thought it would last forever
together every day
we used to be so close
but now you're so far away
but now your so far away.

E a vida é injusta
É tão difícil
Eu tento não me importar
Tem sentimentos envolvidos
Eu tenho que deixar ir
Nós temos que seguir em frente
Continuar a amadurecer
A gente achava que isso iria durar pra sempre
Juntos todos os dias
A gente costumava estar tão perto
E a vida é injusta
É tão difícil
Eu tento não me importar
Tem sentimentos envolvidos
Eu tenho que deixar ir
Nós temos que seguir em frente
Continuar a amadurecer
A gente achava que isso iria durar pra sempre
Juntos todos os dias
A gente costumava estar tão perto
Mas agora você está tão longe
Mas agora você está tão longe

there are few artists that I feel like truly get me. Trevor Something, Lorn, nuages, Lazerhawk, HOME, and a few others. Trevor transports me back to being a kid in the 80s. unbelievable nostalgia. sad that those good times are gone, but they shaped me into the person I am today.

@vapormaneActually, the line was never in the 2001 movie despite what a lot of people remember. The line was in the novel that came out alongside the movie, but was not in the actual film. The line did appear at the beginning of the sequel, "2010: The Year We Make Contact."
