*****โโโโโ Namibia is an awesome place. Here are some of the facts about the country:
1. It has one of the most stable politics in Africa: My former president (Hon. Hifike Punye Pohamba) was awarded a prize earlier on this year for great presidency and upholding stable politics in the country.
2. We are a conservation country with one of the best infrastructures in Africa (looking at the fact that it is still a developing country)
3. We obtained our independence 25 years ago (1990) - We were colonised by Germans and then later the Boers (Afrikans people of South Africa)
4. The country consists of 2 million people
5. We have one of the most expensive housing rates in terms of prices in the world. We were ranked the 4th in the world ( This was so bizarre that the youth of the country started a revolution led by Job Amupanda a former youth league president of the leading political party of the country (SWAPO) the name of this revolution is called Affirmitive Repositioning, through this revolution the youth were able to secure 200 000 thousand serviced plots to build, however this is still in progress)
6. The crime rate is not that high, most of the crimes consist of theft and burglaries which isn't that much either and other petty crimes like grabbing of phones and other valuable goods but not hijacks and big robberies.
7. We have 6 indegiounous tribes in the country
8. Entertainment and leisure: we have musicians that do music genres like: hip hop, rnb, traditional, Kwaito, afro house and sungura. We also have local films and movies, we have recreational centres, parks, shopping malls and many world reknowned stores, we have bawling alleys, cinemas and other places for leisure. 5-7 star hotels, guest houses and resorts. National parks and a museum. We are developing by the day and we are currently building a water park.
Our capital city is Windhoek and we have great tourism destinations like Swakopmund, Walvisbay, Luderits, hentisbay (coastal arears) and Etosha national park (wildlife) Zambezi ( natural river and we also have great deserts like the skeleton coast and the namib desert, we have the world's 2nd largest canyon called the fish river canyon.
Minerals: Minning: we are famous for our Diamonds, uranium, copper and also have other mineral.
Fishing and agriculture: We are a raw material (primary sector) country.
Tourism: leading in Africa (hence we are a tourism country as it is one of our biggest sectors in the country)
We are situated in the southern part of Africa, part of SADC. Neighbouring country of South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe and Botswana.
We have had 3 presidents since independence namely Sam Naujoma (founding father), Hifike Punye Pohamba and Hage Geingob (current president).
Currency: we use Namibian Dollars (N$) which is equivalent to N$10=US $1
Sports: we have soccer, basket ball, hockey, boxing, netball, rugby and Olympic games. ๏ปฟ
