Daughter Of The King
Tricia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Was someone the world would see
You dress to impress you put up your best
And all it left you was empty
But a dress won't make a princess
And jewels won't make a queen
Cause you were made for more than this
You're worth more than what you see
A daughter of the King
You are perfect in the Makers eyes
Even when you don't believe
His love pour out for who you are not who you want to be
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
A daughter of the King
It's not about the things you can see
The mirror has the world decieved
Just look at your heart to find who you are
Cause image is not beauty
Cause a dress won't make a princess
And jewels won't make a queen
But you were made for more than this
You're worth more than what you see
You are fearfully and wonderfully
A daughter of the King
You are perfect in the Makers eyes
Even when you don't believe
His love pour out for who you are not who you want to be
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
A daughter of the King
And time will fade
Beauty will age
But the good we do lives on
Cause the glass-slipper only last so long
You are fearfully and wonderfully
A daughter of the King
You are perfect in the Makers eyes
Even when you don't believe
His love pour out for who you are not who you want to be
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
A daughter of the King
You are fearfully and wonderfully
A daughter of the King
You are perfect in the Makers eyes
Even when you don't believe
His love pour out for who you are not who you want to be
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
A daughter of the King
The song "Daughter of the King" by Tricia encourages listeners to recognize their inherent worth and value as individuals, not based on external appearances or worldly possessions. It acknowledges the pressure that many people feel to conform to societal expectations and standards, such as dressing a certain way or having certain material possessions, and challenges listeners to see beyond these superficial qualities. The lyrics emphasize that true beauty comes from within, and that each person is "fearfully and wonderfully made" by their Creator. The song also recognizes that beauty and youth are fleeting, but the impact that individuals make through their actions can have a lasting impact.
Overall, "Daughter of the King" is a powerful reminder that everyone has value and worth, and that this worth is not tied to external qualities or possessions. It encourages individuals to embrace their unique qualities and identities, and to recognize that their impact on the world is not determined by how they look or what they own, but rather by the choices they make and the love they share.

Beautiful song
@cate109
we should all share this on Facebook and ask people to keep passing it on . so many girls have self esteem cause of the media . we could be those people who is that lil hope for that girl who sits in the corner at school who feels like shes worthless. we need to step up and speak for others. people deserve to know they are loved and they are beautiful . don't matter about image. true beauty is our hearts . who we are
