Eternity
Triple J Lyrics

You show me eternity
I want you to know
Feels like there′s a feeling in me
I'll never let go
Is it real or am I dreaming?
Night takes me away
Feeling like there′s a rhythm in me
But the music is making me stay
I want you to know
Seems like there's a feeling in me
I'll never let go
Is it real or am I dreaming?
Night takes me away
Feeling like there′s a rhythm in me
Night is changing to day
But the music is making me stay
Show me the way
I′m lost inside your melody
You show me eternity
Show me the way
I'm lost inside your melody
You show me eternity
You show me eternity
You show me
You show me eternity
Night takes me away
Feeling like there′s a rhythm in me
Night is changing to day
But the music is making me stay
Show me the way
I'm lost inside your melody
You show me eternity
The lyrics to Triple J's song "Eternity" have a dreamlike and introspective quality. The singer is expressing a deep connection with someone or something that provides them with a sense of eternity. The repetition of the phrase "You show me eternity" emphasizes the importance of this connection and the impact it has on the singer's perception of time and reality.
The opening lines suggest that the singer wants the other person to understand the significance of their connection, as indicated by the lines "I want you to know." The feeling within the singer is so powerful that they claim they will never let it go. There is a sense of uncertainty, though, as they question whether the experience of eternity is real or merely a dream.
The mention of night and day reflects the shifting nature of the singer's emotions and experiences. While night may symbolize darkness and uncertainty, the presence of rhythm and music provides comfort and stability, allowing the night to transform into day. The singer's connection to this music is so strong that it compels them to stay.
