1. Tuesday was a Pop-Punk/Emo band that was formed by three ex-members of the Chicago Ska band Slapstick after the latter's 1996 breakup.
Dan Andriano (bass/vocals), Matt Stamps (guitar), and Rob Kellenberger (drums/vocals) released their first EP Early Summer on Asian Man Records in 1997. Later in the year, they released their first (and only) LP, Freewheelin'. They acquired a second guitarist, Tyler Wiseman, and toured the U.S. in support of Freewheelin'. Shortly thereafter, Andriano was asked by Matt Skiba to join his band, Alkaline Trio, and Andriano became the band's bassist. Alkaline Trio gained popularity very quickly, and their hectic schedule gave Andriano very little time to devote to Tuesday. Andriano continued to play with Tuesday for almost another year, although shows became more and more sparse. Kellenberger got married, and eventually Tuesday went on hiatus in 1998. Rob Kellenberger played drums for The Smoking Popes reunion show, but could not go on tour with the band because of prior plans.
2. Tuesday was a British progressive pop band of the early 1970s that was previously called Casino. Their song 'Sewing Machine' (1972) has featured on various compilations.
3. Tuesday is an Austrian band consisting of Lukas, Stephan, Mike and Gerald.
One Day of Peace
Tuesday Lyrics

Before it consumes you
To take a shelter and run into a stranger's arms
Leaving all that's familiar
The pain will run as deep as I want it to go
I finally found within myself that I knew nothing at all
One day, last year, I thought that I conquered the world
Nothing could stop me, not even you
But now look at me
I've conquered more than just the world
Before we met, I'd been crushed a thousand ways
Forgot my own name
Behind the limelight, kindness is all you gave to me
I thank you for your dignity
Caught up in the rat race I stopped to feel your hand
I think I finally know how it feels to be loved for who I am
One day, last year, I thought that I conquered the world
One day, last year, I knew the real world inside out
Nothing could stop me, not even you
But now look at me
I've conquered mroe than just the world
The lyrics to Tuesday's song "One Day of Peace" delve into themes of sacrifice, personal growth, and finding love and acceptance. The first verse talks about the willingness to give up one's dreams and desires in order to avoid being consumed by them. It suggests seeking solace in the embrace of a stranger, leaving behind everything familiar. The line "The pain will run as deep as I want it to go, I finally found within myself that I knew nothing at all" points to a realization that one's understanding of life and oneself is limited. This newfound humility allows for growth and a deeper understanding of oneself.
The second verse reflects on a pivotal moment in the past, where the singer believed they had achieved greatness and had a firm grasp on reality. However, the line "But now look at me, I've conquered more than just the world" hints at a change in perspective. It suggests that the journey towards personal growth and self-discovery has led to conquering not only external achievements but also inner battles and insecurities.
Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of transformation and the realization that true fulfillment comes from within, rather than external accomplishments. It emphasizes the importance of love, kindness, and finding one's true self amidst the chaos of life.
