Move
Tunde Baiyewu Lyrics

Cause my hands they let go
I turn away my eyes
To try and find what's mine
To try and find what's mine
And I'm loosing what's real
When I only try to feal
I forget where you are
I forget where you are
I'm coming back to you
I see it more clearly that we are not two
I'm coming back to you
One spirit, one flesh, one soul, one truth
Together with our hands and our bodies move
Together with our hands and our bodies move
Move, move, move, move
I am the beggar on the street
I need to rest my feet
I'm at the bottom of my cup
Need someone to pick me up
Need someone to pick me up
I saw you loving when I ceased
Felt you all around me
I saw you loving when I ceased
Felt you all around me
Felt you all around me
Felt you all around me
I'm coming back to you
I see it more clearly that we are not two
I'm coming back to you
I see it more clearly that we are not two
I'm coming back to you
One spirit, one flesh, one soul, one truth
Together with our hands and our bodies move
Together with our hands and our bodies move, move, move
Move, move, move, move.
The chorus of Tunde Baiyewu's song "Move" is an affirmation of the singer's desire to return to his lover after experiencing a moment of distance or disconnection. The song talks about a moment of coldness and detachment, which is perceptible through the metaphor of the singer's heart turning cold and his hands letting go, as well as his attempts to find what's his, which may suggest a search for something that has been lost or forgotten. There seems to be a sense of confusion, as he is losing what's real when he only tries to feel the beat of his own heart, and he forgets where his lover is.
However, the singer realizes that he is not alone, and that his lover is the one who can pick him up and help him through his struggles. He sees clearly that they are not two, but one, unified in spirit, flesh, soul, and truth, with their hands and bodies moving together in sync. The last repetition of the chorus seems to represent an actual movement, or a dance, as the word "move" is repeated four times, with increasing intensity.
The song describes a moment of vulnerability and desperation, in which the singer needs someone to help him navigate his feelings of disconnection and loss. However, he finds solace and hope in the idea of unity and connection with his lover, represented by the metaphor of moving together with their hands and bodies.
