Their 3rd and latest Fault Lines was released on EMI/Warner in 2012, and lead single On My Side from Fault Lines recently won P3's Best Track Of The Year 2012 from audience votes.
Recently Turboweekend has won a bunch of prizes in homeland Denmark, including Hit Song of the Year 2010 with Trouble Is from second album Ghost Of A Chance, the P3 Talent prise 2011, and Best Live Act 2011 at the Danish Music Awards.
In the early years Turboweekend was a lovechild between the sexier parts of the Copenhagens underground rock/pop, and the increasingly popular and diverse electronic club scene. After self-releasing their first 12" single Into You. They signed with CPH Rec back in 2007 and released their debut album ’Night Shift’ that same October. An album that nominated the group for Best Act of The Year in the two biggest award shows in Denmark (P3 Gold and Zulu Awards), and first radio single 'Into You' became a 'Can’t Miss Hit' on P3 (Ugens Uundgåelige) the same week as the band performed on the Roskilde Festival upcoming stage Pavillion Junior. 2nd album Ghost Of A Chance, released on Mermaid Records (Sony BMG) 2009 presented a more focused, less sensationalistic songwriting and production, with roots and branches far beyond the sub culture from which the band initially grew. The Lyrics mainly center on the the ins and outs of love, but also touch on subjects like cultural prejudice (Colors), escapism Erase Myself) and metaphorical reincarnation (Up With The Smoke - Down With The Ash).
3rd album Fault Lines marks an even greater step away from the neon lights and harsh distortion of Night Shift. Find out more through the links below.

Moving On
Turboweekend Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Cut like a razor to my eye
It sits like a muscle cramp
Stamps out the last embers of the fire
This can't keep going on
Going on, going on
When love is gone
This can't keep going on
Going on, going on
When love is gone
It's time to be moving on
There's no way to turn this train
I'm drained by the sheer cold fact
(Screaming in the hall)
(Words like bullets)
I can't play with open arms anymore
And I can't hold you back
(Climbing up the walls)
(Sleeping on needles)
Go where your heart leads
Be where your heart is now
Go where your heart leads
I'll make it work somehow
You say finally found
The key to set you free
It's not that I don't want
You to be who you got to be
But I, I wish your heart was
I wish your heart was with me
This can't keep going on
Going on, going on
When love is gone
It's time to be moving on
This can't keep going on
Going on, going on
When love is gone
It's time to be moving on
This can't keep going on
Going on, going on
When love is gone
It's time to be moving on
This can't keep going on
Going on, going on
Your love is gone
It's time to be moving on
The song "Moving On" by Turboweekend is about letting go of a relationship that has already died. The lyrics evoke the feeling of pain and acceptance that comes with the realization that the love and passion have faded away. The first verse refers to the pain of a breakup, using powerful imagery to describe the emotional and physical pain that comes with it. The second verse acknowledges the reality that the relationship is over, and there is no way to go back or repair it. The chorus emphasizes the need to move on and leave the past behind, encouraging an acceptance that the love has already gone.
The bridge of the song shifts towards accepting the decision to move on, but the singer still harbours the desire to win back the love they lost. The singer wishes that the other person would feel the same way, but they understand that they can't force them to come back. The final chorus reinforces the message of the song; letting go of a failed relationship is painful but necessary.
