Universal Struggle
Turbulence Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Some Man say: 'I suffer ohhh, I have no food to eat for today'
Well. while some men don't eat for three weeks!
Yo I'mma tell this. You all feel open and stop resting your problems on other people.
Talk about it they don't have any food, no garbage, no shelter, no vehicle.
Go around study, be realable? moving like a weeble.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU, BEHAVE YOURSELF!
Life is lovely.
And you may believe you find yourself bad
And there is no way for you to be
Glad
You is so hungry and it's making you fright
There is so many people
Out there where it is worser not to hide

It's a Universal Struggle it's not just you and I
Look people but now mumble??????????
Yo a Universal Struggle it's not just you and I
Stay away from trouble hands up when they ask you why

Police asking if I got gun Oh yes I do
Give me the one from politician and you know that's true
But the rastaman ... to kill and loot
From the wicked man ...
Everywhere you go some ... never got you
Out of town it went down got it's eyes on you
Get some selfrespect and sparkling too
One guitar ... and no man get rude

It's a Universal Struggle it's not just you and I
Look people but now mumble??????????
Yo a Universal Struggle it's not just you and I
Stay away from trouble hands up when and ask you why

Sometimes I feel like there's no way out
No place to rest my head no food for the man

I think the people, not only the rich people have
The responsibility to give but they are not so rich
Because poor to me is without NOTHING.
So when people are always poor I saw everybody black
Has to right to be poor now, that's not true
Poor is not just for black folks.
I think that rich black people need to give the poor white folks
You know what I'm saying and and poor Korean people

Yo a Universal Struggle it's not just you and I
Stay away from trouble hand up and ask you why

Rastafari!
Universal Struggle it's not just you and I
I know people but now mumble??????????

You may believe you find youself bad.

Overall Meaning

The song Universal Struggle by Turbulence is about the universal struggle that everyone goes through regardless of race, nationality, or social status. It calls for people to stop relying on others to solve their problems and take responsibility for their own lives. The first verse highlights the fact that while some people complain about not having food for the day, others go without food for much longer periods. The verse urges the listener to be independent, reliable, and responsible, instead of being like a weeble, moving aimlessly through life. The chorus emphasizes that the struggle people face is a universal one and not just felt by the individual.

In the second verse, the song takes a turn toward political issues. The singer explains that even he has a gun, but he believes in peaceful ways to solve conflict. He mentions that the politicians are the ones who should be giving up their guns, and the Rastaman does not support violence or looting. The verse highlights that there are always eyes on people, and one should have self-respect and keep it cool even in tense situations. The chorus reiterates the song's central theme of a universal struggle and staying away from trouble to avoid any issues with law enforcement.

The bridge is about social responsibility, stating that everyone should be responsible for giving back to society, regardless of their socioeconomic status or race. It criticizes the idea that only black people can be poor and highlights that poverty is not a racial issue. The song's final chorus reinforces the message that the struggle people face is universal and that everyone should take responsibility for their lives to avoid getting into trouble.

I love the way that Turbulence got his name respected in Jamaica, Rise Up is a damn good documentary I already watched it over and over again it inspires me that if you really want something with a good heart that you will always reach it! In the beginning he was skinny didn't eat well, then he got thethe respect & well-earned money and got a belly full of food! You don't need to hustle, hate or kill someone to do what you like, ignore the wrong side of road and follow the true path. Bless him!
