Turk was first discovered in 1996 when he was rapping for Cash Money Records (brothers Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Baby” Williams ) Later that same year, he made his debut with a cameo on Juvenile’s solo debut, “Solja Rags”. While He cut another album, “Untamed Guerilla”, for Cash Money as a follow-up to “Young and Thuggin’” but it was never released as he became embroiled in a similar contractual conflict as Juvenile and B.G.
In 2003, Turk followed B.G. to Koch Records, where he recorded “Raw and Uncut”, technically his second solo album.
Turk is currently serving a sentence of 10 years for attempted murder on a federal agent during a drug raid.

Turk's song "I Luv U for Dat" is a tribute to his mother, who he credits for keeping him away from a life of crime and violence. In the song, he expresses his gratitude to his mother for being his role model, mentor, and best friend. He acknowledges that his mother was hard on him at times, but understands that it was for his own good. He talks about how she taught him to be a responsible and respectful person, and how she was always there for him no matter what.
The song also talks about the struggles that Turk and his family went through while growing up in the projects. He mentions that his mother had to raise three sons on her own, with little to no help. They survived on welfare, food stamps, and government assistance programs. He talks about how his mother's strength and resilience helped them get through the tough times.
